Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The drive from Te Anau is beautiful and Milford Sound is truly beautiful.
A must do.
Make sure you leave time to stop at the numerous look outs on the way.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a fascinating experience and value for money. Take a 2.5 hours trip from theTe Anau lake on a cruiz . You are taken ina group of 12 and the experience in exhilarating. The history of caves and the waterfall is worth listening to. Dont take this trip if you have claustro-phobia ( fear of Darkness). No filming/ camera or mobile phone allowed to take photos. There is a short documentary as to how the Glowworm lives and catches its prey. It is interesting. Every one young to old can enjoy this trip.Written 4 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- NlhoffMadbury, NH7 contributionsMy cruise included Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds on a perfect, blue sky day. Each sound was magnificent. Pictures can’t do this place justice. If your cruise to NZ includes this opportunity it is the highlight of the trip.Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew MNelson, New Zealand3 contributionsEasyHike were out-of-sight helpful. The track was closed overnight (went meant magical snowfall!! Not what we planned, but awesome)- and EasyHike re-relocated our car back to the start for us straightaway- we've used them before and I'd use them again, they are fabulousWritten 30 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kmprasanakBengaluru, India163 contributionsCruiz on lake Te Anau is a wonderful experience not to miss in Te Anau. The cruiz also takes you to Glowworm caves if you pre- book the same. - AJSan Francisco, CA332 contributionsStunning. Incredible. One of my top hikes from a month long trip. We magically caught a clear afternoon and oh that view from the top, wow. This is such a fun hike. Waterfalls, flowers, views, snow! We enjoyed scrambling up the rocks and trekking up to the snow. The track is well marked with the orange marker posts and we found it easy to follow. A good challenge with a worth the efforts view -both at the top and along the way. Would be tricky and potentially unsafe in the rain/wet with the slick and steep rocks. We saw a good amount of people on the trail. The lot was full when we arrived. But it never felt too crowded and you had space to enjoy and go your pace.Written 29 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JanetCHermosa Beach, CA619 contributionsThis was my best meal of my two week trip - I had the cod dinner. Cute little place and if you can't get a reservation (which you definitely need), the bar area is great, as well and they do offer a smaller menu there. After dinner, I finished my glass of wine out there. Definitely should be on your dinner stop list!Written 8 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Jon ATe Anau, New Zealand16 contributionsHi, We hired 2 x Magnum Ui5 e bikes and they were fully charged and in good condition. Gemma and Julian are really great and passionate about their local area. This home based buisiness makes it really easy to pick up and drop off and gets you away from the mainstream town tourist hire and puts you in a stress free environment. Julian was most helpful in getting us set up and comfortable. We rode the Lake2Lake trail about half way and then returned.
Would thoughougly recommend this business..Written 26 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Brilliant guides …explaining about the hills, woodlands and wildlife. Being guided made a real difference and I can’t recommend this enough.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MikeARHorncastle, UK96 contributionsWhat a great day out, made even better by our guide and driver Sacha. She is a treasure trove of local knowledge and kept us informed and entertained all day. She knows all the best photo stops and gives you the time to enjoy them.
