- JebelslavesPeregian Springs106 contributionsWe had an excellent day out at Milford as the night before we visited it had rained & there were literally scores of waterfalls all through the fiord....very magical.Written 5 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KiwiKerry53Wellington, New Zealand4,579 contributionsDespite not having the best day for our trip, there were clear patches that allowed as to truly see the beauty around us.
The only easy way o the sound is via boat across lake Manapour, bus across the Wilmot Pass to the sound. A good day out. Would loved to have done an overnighter, but a mix of seasons v covid meant this wasn't available.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - flyingeagle2223Dunedin, New Zealand344 contributionsThis was a lovely trip and tour, tour guide on the boat over to the cave was great and informative, gave lots of great information about Lake Te anau and the Fiordland national park. Logan our guide in the cave to see the glow worms was also really good, great trip all around and worth it too check out.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- flyingeagle2223Dunedin, New Zealand344 contributionsSuch a lovely national park, it is always amazing seeing the different places around New Zealand and seeing how the scenery always changed, Fiordland is very beautiful worth visiting over again, also many walks around this area.Written 8 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Peter AMelbourne, Australia49 contributionsWe were staying in TeAnau and did the section from Rainbow Reach Carlark to Moturau Hut. It was awesome, two bridge crossovers and an easy 13/14 km walk which took about 4 and a half hrs with plenty of stops to take on everything and get some photos. A few areas looked similar to some of the scenes in the Lord of the Rings and later found out that some were filmed along the section leading to the car park. Highly recommended.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KazSydAustraliaSydney, Australia141 contributionsThis is no ordinary NZ tramp. Tough because it does not have a normal track. Mostly rocks, streams, snow and everything in between. Best not to take young children because of the terrain. Just make sure you are fit and properly equipped. Good boots, nordic walking sticks, snacks, water bottle etc. Extraordinarily beautiful views along the way and right at the top, provided the weather is good on the day. So please check forecast before starting. So good luck.Written 6 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- dulaure3 contributionsWe loved this trip, had the most fabulous day. Great hosts, so informative and happy to answer all my questions about the area. Our five year old was happy spinning, ducking and diving in the jet too. The bike ride back was majestic and had plenty of time for a dip in the lake. Gorgeous!Written 23 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BazzaNelson, New Zealand1 contributionHello Ray,
Thank you so much for an amazing experience today, from the minute you picked us up to drop off ( right to the van)!
You have over delivered on all our expectations for our day out in New Zealand’s beautiful playground..
Your humour, knowledge and yet personal hosting was a real treat.
You should be very proud of what you provide to your customers, I have travelled the globe, and Fiordland Tours is World Class.
We will spread the good news of what you can offer.
These are tough times for your industry and wish you all the very best for the new season that is coming.
Kind regards
Barry and Pauline

No mammals lived in New Zealand [except bats] until rats came ashore from Captain Cooke's boat in the 1700s.Written 31 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rigger ReidTimaru, New Zealand123 contributionsHad an amazing flight with Kylie on Valentines evening,
Was a stunning afternoon so warm and still, spur of the moment walked in and spoke about a flight that afternoon, they were very accomodating and we got one sorted, Very exciting first time on a water plane.
The scenery was stunning the flight was amazing so smooth, Kylie was very knowledgeable about the area and pointed out places of interest, we flew over Doubtful sound where we were heading the following day.
Highly recommend this trip

The flight was a brilliant way to start the trek and the flexibility on the pickup was really appreciated. - Jason Harman1 contributionSomeone recommended this company to us because of their excellent reputation in the region, and we weren’t disappointed.
Mark dropped us into our Wapiti hunting block and promptly picked us up again a few days later (unexpectedly) after our campsite got flooded out. The scenery we flew over is absolutely phenomenal and needs to be seen to be believed.
Sarah was super helpful throughout the booking process, and she even couriered us + our gear to/from the hangar because we didn’t have access to a vehicle - supreme southern hospitality!
100% would book with them again on future trips to Fiordland, and will recommend to everyone coming down here.Written 13 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
