From pick up to drop off, all went so smoothly thanks to Jason, our amazing driver and tour guide. He was a lot of fun, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his country. And he was patient with the record-breaking urinator. 😁 And the tour itself was magnificent. The food was great, the scenery was stunning. Do not hesitate taking this tour.

It was a long day, but amazing, we had never see landscapes like this before. They hadn’t had rain for awhile so our only disappointment was a few less waterfalls. A must do and if you have the cash fly back.

We had a fabulous time. Our tour guide Mari took wonderful care of us. She provided many interesting facts of the area and stopped for many incredible views allowing us to take some great pictures. She was a terrific driver. We would highly recommend this tour.

What a lovely trip from Te Anau to Manapouri by coach - very informative & friendly driver. Then onto a boat to trip across Lake Manapouri - despite the drizzly weather it was still ok to stand outside to appreciate the smell of earth and air and water. Onto another coach to take us to the sound. I am not a good coach traveler but the driver was great and again very informative stopping at special viewing spots - including the moss covered trees so Lord of the Rings. The cruise itself was beautiful - the captain and assistant gave us again great information - a little hard to hear at times as the boat PA system wasn’t the best. If you go get ready at the end of the outward bound leg to take photos at the bow as there will be seals at the rocks. On the way back the Captain cruised us into a cove and asked for silence for 5 minutes so we could appreciate the silence of this quiet nature space fully. I restrained myself from throwing some people off the boat at this point as they couldn’t stop talking & walking around - sigh !

Went on the fly cruise fly with our family of four, kids ages five and eight, was fantastic! Can’t think of a better way to see Milford Sound. The drive would’ve been too much for our two youngsters, but the flight was incredible. The fuse were really fantastic, and everyone was super professional. Highly recommend for anyone with young kids wanting to see Milford sound from Queenstown! As an added bonus even gave our kids a couple bags of candy each:)

Fantastic informative trip with stunning views. Pick up in 16 seater minibus in Te Anau bang on time (possibly slightly early!) - all the other guests collected quickly and off to Milford Sound for couple of hour cruise. Steve the guide/driver was superb - so knowledgeable about the area and NZ in general with a huge variety of information- never stopped but never boring - loved listening to his stories and info and loved the fact his wife works at the Homer Tunnel and waved as we went by! Lots of great stops for photos/loo breaks there and back - plenty of time to get the photos you want with tons of really good info from Steve. The Milford Cruise has been reviewed a million times I know but this tour uses a slightly smaller boat (think we went on Milford Adventurer) - about 65 passengers but max capacity about double that so plenty of room to move about, sit down and get photos. Absolutely stunningly beautiful day - blue skies and sun which is pretty unusual I gather and views on the trip there and in the cruise were breathtaking. Cannot recommend highly enough. Don’t do Milford Cruise from Queenstown- bloody long day - stay in Te Anau and use this company 😃👍😳

The scenery from the bus was spectacular - in some places you could see so far that it is hard to put into words the landscape. Greg our driver kept us entertained and was a dependable driver. The views of the fjords from the boat are spectacular and although we had less waterfalls than normal because the weather was warm and clear there were plenty. We did see seals but no dolphins. On the way to Milford Sound we stopped about 2 hours in for snacks and a bathroom break. We also stopped at Mirror Lakes - very cool. Many mountains has snow on them and so many lakes and rivers so beautiful. This a long day 7 plus hours in the bus especially if you are at the first pickup and last drop off. We got back to our hotel at 7:30 PM. We left our hotel at 6:45 AM to walk down the hill to the pickup point. Bring snacks if you are not sighing up for lunch on the boat. We wanted to fly back but all the services were booked best to do that up front - will save 3 hours coming back on the bus plus it is supposed to be awesome.

The day with Luxe was just how I had hoped it would go. A great guide, Nicky made us feel welcome as she told us more about the route from Te Anau to Milford Sound than you could remember. Having a small Sprinter was perfect size vs the big buses that make you want to escape from. We stopped at great places with iconic photo opportunities. They made sure we got great separated seats on the boat, too. I’d highly recommend Luxe to anyone wanting a great memorable experience.

A wonderful day with photo ops and great commentary. Mirror lake was a great visit. Everything ran well between coach and boat. Other passengers were good at not delaying on the stops. Highlight on the boat was the hot pies and the welcome chocomilk after being rained on.

Amazing trip! We heard the roads could get sketchy so we decided to take a bus from Queenstown and we don’t regret it!

Our driver Ivan seemed to have a lust for life and had a twinkle in his eye. Great info during the ride and left an everlasting impact. The cruise team, Craig and Laura, were also great. Craig was a jokester, while Laura really was the people’s princess!

10/10 day, wish we could do it again with our favorite people, Ivan, Laura, and Craig!!!!

Stunning scenery in the sounds and the highlight was stopping to experience the ‘sound of silence’. We went on a lovely sunny day which meant there were not many waterfalls.

Very slickly organised trip with all the various modes of transport. Note if traveling from Queenstown it is a 12 hour return trip.
