Our experience was heightened by our guide Soap putting everything in the context of Maori culture, which is something we wanted to get out of our NZ trip. He really made it fun for our whanau on the bus. Loved the Maori music! He was so knowledgeable about everything - geology, local history, the Maori culture and even explained why some countries started driving on the right hand side of the road!!! The flight was stunning, seeing the glaciers and snowy mountains up close. Milford sound cruise was truly special too. - Leigh MAberdeen, UK136 contributionsTrip was amazing! 2 hours of stunning views, thrill ride and excellent commentary so we’re more educated now, than when we stepped on the jet boat.
Special shout out to Lucy first. She couldn’t have been more accommodating, she adjusted the tour by 30 minutes to make sure we made it on this beautiful sunny day. Even kept in contact with us, to make sure we would arrive ok.
2nd shout out to John. How great is he!! A treasure for Fiordland Jet He knows how to 360 turn!! Even a couple extra for my husband, much appreciated, brings out the big kid in us all. John looked after us, made us comfortable, offered to take photos and had a lovely cheeky smile when he made us all laugh.

We learnt lots and had a great time. We felt safe while still having freedom to move at our own pace and stop for photos. Still great fun as the third day of one day hikes we did with the company. Well prepared, knowledgeable guides and great company. The group of people we walked with were just amazing. The drive along the valley gave us mountain to mountain waterfalls. Lunches were great. - CES620East Greenwich, RI2 contributionsWe booked air transport to and from Milford Sound because we were scheduled for an overnight cruise. Unfortunately, we had completely underestimated the potential weather impact. Luckily, the entire crew at Air Milford worked to arrange alternative flight arrangements to ensure we made our overnight cruise as well as our flight home. The pilot, Antony, even arranged to have the cruise ship's bus driver drop us off at a different airfield when weather prevented him from landing in Milford Sound for our return flight.
