Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our guide was very well versed with the local flora and fauna. As keen birders and NZ travellers we learned a lot about the local area. Great value for money.

We absolutely loved our small group tour with Emma. She was so knowledgeable about the history of the island, the bird and flora on the island. Also gave us lots of information about the human history of the island and Rakiura and surrounding islands and the current story of the reality of life there now. We are still talking about it!

Great friendly service to hire the electric bike.
I was given great suggestions for my ride to explore Halfmoon & Horseshoe bays.

The bike was in great condition, fully charged and I had a great ride.

    Thoroughly recommend

Fabulous experience in every way! Al has a very special talent for sharing his knowledge of the skies in a fashion that is deeply informed, always helpful, and full of enthusiasm shared with his guests. He paints the skies with a laser pointer and offers binoculars and a stunning view through his superb telescope. And the logistics are flawless, from pickup to drop-off: on our somewhat chilly night, he provided wool blankets, hot water bottles, and delicious real hot chocolate! The tour makes the stars in our galaxy seem almost within arm's reach. Truly a magnificently memorable experience! Joe M., USA

A great experience, getting to see the island from a different perspective, alongside learning about the wildlife and history of the island. Phil is able to get people comfortable in a kayak quickly, and adjust things for all levels. Kayaking is weather dependent, and Phil's communication from the moment I contacted him to ask about dates during our visit, to calling me the day before we arrived to arrange the best time for our trip was excellent. I can't recommend this tour highly enough, and I can't wait to do it again in the future!
