We found this service friendly, professional and efficient.
Would highly recommend. It leaves from Golden bay wharf just over the hill from Oban regularly throughout the day and costs $20 return to Ulva island.

The 40 mn film is a great way to discover the island and some of its quirky stories. And the narrator is a dog that you can meet in the lobby of the cinema...

Paid my $10 and definitely worth doing on a wet afternoon. A lot of stuff was quite repedative but the history was interesting.

Wonderful Visitor Centre. Great displays and information on flora and fauna and the walks on the Island. As for the staff, second to none - so friendly, helpful and invested in our interest.

Great little place, selling souvenirs as well as local tours and local stories and information, for anyone wanting, Definitely a focus on tours for those of us that were day tripping, that seemed like a sensible.

We had the most amazing time on Stewart Island thanks to Furhana. I told Furhana the tours we wanted to do while on the Island and the dates that we were there and she managed to fit it all in around tides, weather and other tours she was doing. She is one of the most knowledgeable and informative guide that we have ever had. I highly recommend that lady who is a sole owner/operator and runs all the tours and bookings herself. She is one busy lady but very professional and grateful towards all her clients.

A wonderful afternoon cruising Paterson inlet islands and bays. The gear Phil provided was excellent. We stayed perfectly dry the whole time. Phil was a great guide and showed us the local sealife snd stories of the area.

    Highly recommend.

We booked the combo tour and you won’t be disappointed. We had Ulva as our guide on both occasions and what a delight she was. Managed to see two Kiwis on the night tour which was a bucket list moment and the trip to Ulva Island is a brilliant. Ulva’s knowledge was outstanding and we learnt a lot about wonderful native birds and plants. A big thank you from us and also for being patient as this was the third time booking this trip due to Covid.

We had an amazing night with Bec as our tour guide! The other people that had booked the same night as us cancelled so we ended up having a private tour!
We spotted 8 kiwi in total which equaled the company record in one night! Being wild animals, sighting are not guaranteed we would have been stoked to see just one, so eight was incredible. We also got up close and personal with a wild deer that wasn’t bothered by us or the red torches. Bec was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions and we had some really informative discussions around pest management and conservation. Thanks Bec!!

Can't rate these guys highly enough. Matt in the office (owner too) was brilliant to deal with. Bright and bubbly and extremely helpful. We wanted to visit some history and had heard about the historic whalers base at Prices Point. Matt took our details and promised to let us know later once had made some phone calls. His expectation setting was brilliant ensuring we wouldn't have been too disappointed if couldn't beach at the bay and get out to explore the relics but our expectations were well exceeded. Our skipper was brilliant - so informative on all the history of the area but also taking the time to stop and let us photograph some nesting birds (Spoonbills - awesome sight in their own right!). He left us to the walk at our own pace and was waiting for us at Millers beach with some final history. It was a truly amazing trip. Coincided with my birthday and made it one of the best birthday memories to date. Thanks heaps to the two Matts - owner and skipper. Wonderful experience.

If you want a genuine fishing experience and see some of the Albatross or Mollymawks up close as they try to snatch your catch, then this is the trip for you. 4 hours using handlines to catch a good feed of fresh cod.
