Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Donald JBellingham, WA972 contributionsNice trail along the waterfront just as you leave the towns restaurants and stores. Huge trees line the path and a frisbee golf course hides in the shade. Up top is a beautiful area containing rose garden, sculptures, a tennis court and lawn bowling. Worth a stroll especially on a sunny day.Written 30 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TheGoodPlace19Camberwell, Australia57 contributionsI had a great time at the Kiwi Park! I spent three hours there and attended the Kiwi encounter and conservation show, which were both very engaging and educational. The staff were so kind and welcoming, they were all willing to chat and offer more information. I also learned a lot that I didn’t already know about bees and New Zealand honey which was an added positive. The only downside (which isn’t the fault of the staff or park) is that several other visitors ignored the rules and took flash photography of the Kiwis which was really disappointing - please don’t do that if you visit! I’d gladly come back and bring more people with me, a highlight of my trip to Queenstown for sure.Written 24 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chris JChicago, IL7 contributionsThis Lake is stunning natural gem with crystal clear waters and breathtaking mountain views. Ideal for scenic walks, boat ride, kayak, and relaxation. Must visit if you are in Queenstown.Written 5 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ZannaJakarta, Indonesia21 contributionsThe path is clear. It's an easy track in my opinion yet the view is still wonderful from the top of the hill. Perfect place to zoned out and just breath the fresh air.Written 25 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mazza21 contributionsTime was against me, so I walked up the Tiki trail and then to the Ben Lomond lookout. If it says 1 hour I learnt to be kind to me and double it. So 1 hour on tiki trail is for normal people. It took me 2 hours. Nice and rugged with mist challenges in the first quarter.
The lookout was great for a light lunch and sunshine.
I’ll have to come back to complete this walk. Definantly need the daylight for the Real Ben walk.
If you have bad knees or have trifocals I’d suggest the gondola down.Written 30 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She didn't want to leave Mum and daddy's side, and there was a lot of tears. She had never been to the snow before. But Holly at Skiwiland said let's give it a try. She picked her up and took her straight to the other kids. I left and was able to look from a far. It seems like only after 15min She was outside in the snow doing snow angels with a smile. After a few hours they had her dancing and skiing down the small slope. I can't thank Holly and the other instructors enough for making our little girl so happy. Great service for the price. I would do it again.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- LauraMiami Beach, FL184 contributionsIt was a rainy day in Queenstown. This outdoor mall has lovely shops to check out. For the restaurants, most have lunch that ends at 2:30 p.m., and they do not reopen until 5 p.m.Written 12 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HTeeSingapore, Singapore83 contributionsWe absolutely loved this! Just a 20min drive away from Queenstown, we were met on arrival with stunning reflections of the surroundings on Moke Lake. We felt like we left the bustle and all our worries behind to enter an oasis. The walk around the lake has some incline in some spots but is flat by most standards. 6km for a full round and DOC pegs it as a 2.5hr walk,Written 4 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kristie WPenguin, Australia297 contributionsVisited here with my 15 yo son for the honey spinning tour.
So glad we did!
Loved the information provided such friendly and helpful staff with so much bee knowledge.
The experience we got to participate in was amazing and got a free jar of honey with a personalised label.
Soanu varieties of honey available

Need your own car to drive through the park, and also a bit of patience as other drivers will throw feed onto the road and block it when the animals inevitably eat it.
Try to park your car and walk away from it to feed the goats particularly otherwise they will scratch your car trying to get into it to get feed.
It is really great experience to see all the animals just have to drive very carefully.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had not used electric bikes previously but needed the boost for the 70km+ round trip to Arrowtown. It was awesome! Although quite challenging at times given the undulations. The track is first class. Credit to the council for supporting outdoor activities.
Lots of amazing scenes along the way- rivers, mountains, lovely houses, views across the lake and glorious autumn leaves. Would highly recommend despite the sore body today!! All worth it!
A call out to Torpedo7 who were awesome in supporting us, including a flat tyre. They went above and beyond. Their bikes were in great condition.Written 11 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not gonna lie, we thought moving out of the Woolshed was an odd move, but we were proved wrong today. It's a lovely intimate setting that the team have created at the boat shed, and it works a treat.
So the wine, let's start here. When you call in for a tasting, don't expect to get guided through all the various notes on the nose, the mouthfeel or the length of flavours on the tongue. You are left to discover all that yourself. What you do get is an amazing story of why they exist, what underpins what the team do, their beliefs and the things that are important to the small crew that are Wet Jacket Wines. So call in for the story, you'll come back again and again for the wine (it's our second visit).
The service, we that's second to none. There is a very personal approach around their tasting room, and one I have not experienced before.
Call in, you will not regret it. And I just love their motto: "Work like a captain, play like a pirate."Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
