Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I'm not a huge LoTR fan (some of my family is), but I still really enjoyed this tour! Tristan was a great guide and driver, and I loved seeing some of the areas around Queenstown, especially the national park. It really helped that he had photos from the movies to compare the landscape against. We also enjoyed dressing up and taking some fun photos in the forest. Really fun way to spend an afternoon, and I recommend it!

Nico and Benjamin did an outstanding tour on the 4th November during the morning. The weather was great and the guys were amazing guides taking us through the tracks . Thought I'd mention they were also very safety concious and the signals and communication was spot on. Outstanding tour, will recommend to friends and family.

Very enjoyable half day LotR tour around Queenstown, Glenorchy, and Paradise. Guide had some interesting lore to share and was great fun at the end having some tea and biscuits and a stroll around. Was great they included some other nice sites like the Glenorchy red shed too

Thoroughly amazing Challenger Self Drive Guided Buggy Tour with Diego - an expert instructor! Never did this kind of driving before and we were surprised how awesome an experience it was. Diego's instruction and guidance made it a fun, exhilarating, personalised experience for everyone. Also, some very thoughtfully scenic stops during the tour where photos could be taken. Thank you!!! Thoroughly recommended!

We had horrible weather, rain and 5 degrees, but on the quads it was absolutely awesome. Lots of mud and water to have fun in. Dont let the weather put you off.

This was an incredible tour! The views were spectacular and there was so much snow which we were not expecting. It seriously was a white wonderland! We were so very lucky to get Jenny as our tour guide. Jenny was so amazing and really knowledgeable about the areas we visited. She was extremely careful and drove very safely in some hairy situations. I recommend this tour with Jenny as your tour guide 100%

Terrific half day walk and introduction to the Routeburn track, making it as far as Bridal Veil Falls. Thank you to our very friendly guide Joshua who shared his knowledge about local flora and and Māori traditions. The drive to the track’s start is simply stunning. Highly recommend. 5 stars

The value for money was crazy. Did the clay shooting and jet boat part and we left with a massive smile. The guys running the range were amazing and the jet boat driver is incredible! Would absolutely recommend for anyone who is an adrenaline junky.

The Queenstown region has many stunning photography locations. A Remarkable Imagery tour of Skippers Canyon will ensure that you see many of the very best of these.

Martin knows each of the many twists and turns along Skippers Road. He let me explore different compositions for myself whilst also providing great suggestions for different angles and techniques. A bit of rain and lots of mist added moodiness to the pictures that I took away.

I had a very enjoyable morning, left with a set of images that I really like, and improved the way I think when I take photos.

One of the highlights of our trip. Lovely sunny morning in the Paradise Valley. Very beautiful and peaceful and we got some great pictures. Enjoyed the farms, LOTR film locations, and nature (added several new birds included black swans, pied stilt and oystercatcher). Appreciated the stop at the general store in Glenorchy at the end. Hotel pickup made it stress free.

Had an amazing day with Martin. His knowledge of the local areas and his advice on photography was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for Martin, stopping when photo opportunities presented themselves. I have come away with some beautiful photos from around Queenstown and increased knowledge in landscape photography. Thank you for a wonderful day Martin, I hope to be back to join you on another fabulous workshop/day.

The best tour I’ve ever done. If you’re a fan of the movies you won’t be disappointed. The guides were excellent for both legs of the journey, really friendly and full of knowledge on all topics, especially Pete. The scenery is very recognisable and the guides carry a photograph reference of all filming locations.

Fabulous trip- incredible scenery, perfectly paced scenic walks. We ended up with just the two of us so really lovely time- went to Bobs cove for a 1 hour walk and then off to Routeburn track and a 1 hour Naturevwalk. Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us see and learn more. The lunch stop in Glenorchy was delightful. Totally worth it!
