Wonderful trip up gondola to top of mountain. Good weather enabled superb 360 views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We visited at the end of May / 1st week of June 2021 and expected Queenstown to be very busy but, to OUR delight it was the opposite. It provided the opportunity for us to stroll through the mall and visit just about every shop. It was apparent that Covid 19 has adversely impacted the area and the "please-buy-from-me" look on many shop owner/manager faces left us feeling very guilty and sad.
Some shops were still very expensive and tailored for tourists but, the majority of shops had excellent prices/deals/specials at the time and we certainly spent generously....The restaurants that we visited in the Mall continue to provide excellent service and food. Shop staff were still friendly and very helpful. So, overall, Queenstown Mall was very pleasant to visit and we sincerely wish all owners/managers/staff well.

What an awesome experience, my children. Made candles. Such a fun experience choosing their own colours and scents.
The food was so good and my lemon honey drink with the added honey and ginger so so good.
Staff today were all so helpful and friendly going above and beyond for us even talking about some gold panning tips. Thanku

Experiencing the old heritage building from the inside was truly amazing. It was serene and comforting. Candles were able to be lit and spend time in pray or just enjoy the beauty of the place. Definitely worth a look in.

Lovely little old historic cemetery. If you're interested in these, then worth having a look at. Easily accessible (right next to the Gondola) and some good photographic opportunities if that's your thing.

It's a pity we cannot see the real bird, alive and running. They must have been quite majestic in their own way. This statue seems quite lifelike but to the unknowing it might be mistaken for an ostrich ?

Ben Lomond Lavender is a small farm over a hilly area which is covered with lovely purple flowers. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery.

A fantastic place to visit but not recommended for the average motorist, the road is so narrow and the drops so far down into the river it’s just too dangerous.

Take one of the organised tours is my advice, but do go there if you get the chance. Just the massive swing bridge built in 1900 and still NZ’s highest at 91m above the river below is worth the trip.

We spent an enjoyable few hours walking this trail from the Hilton back to town, after being dropped off by the water taxi.
The water taxi makes this an enjoyable and scenic start to the walk, and if you want, you can grab a coffee or snack at the Hilton before the short walk to the bridge over the Kawarau River.
Pause here to watch the jetboats, then simpy follow the lake back to town.
The Boatshed Cafe at the marina is a good spot for lunch, and make sure you keep looking back, as the views of the Remarkables are superb.
There's not a lot of shade on this walk, so bring a hat, and there's also sections where you can be quite exposed to the wind, if it's a blustery day.
This is not the most spectacular walk you will do, but it's flat, easy, has some lovely views, and can also be done with a bike.

The stute itself is OK with the view behind of the lake and is probably the busiest place in Queenstown. The are usually buskers and there is a few places to eat.

Found by accident walking the many tracks and paths in Queenstown. Lots of history at this little spot and awesome too see people putting so much energy (no pun intended) into its restoration.

Very well maintained track and an easy walk from the main road.

If your interested in the history of the area then check it out.

There is a rock arch engraved with names which is located on the foreshore to the beach/harbour, near the main town centre and between Queenstown Gardens. A fair tribute, solemn and somber reminder, that is not extravagant, which felt fitting.

The Christmas mass was wonderful and the priest and the community was so warm and welcoming. We are from New York and had an absolutely lovely experience.

We had a great mountain bike ride from Frankton to Lake Hayes. This took us 4 hours with 40 mins break - ie just over 3 hours riding. There are a couple of hills, but mainly it is flat. Utterly spectacular scenery. We took a turn off to Lake Hayes which was easy to find. The track is well signposted except in Frankton itself. We were blown away by the beatiful views and the opportunity to be completely remote.
