- Sally Paveley4 contributionsThe whole excursion was amazing, the weather was lovely and the scenery breathtaking! We were picked up on time, the mini bus was comfortable. Our tour guide Dayton was knowledgeable and we stopped at some beautiful places en route to Milford Sound itself. The boat trip was one of the highlights of our visit to New Zealand. The flights there and back are amazing, the scenery is second to none, and the pilot provided really detailed information about the landmarks and history of the area. My partner was lucky enough to score the passenger seat up front for the ride back which was next level again!

Our outbound journey had the right amount if stops , photos, toilet and excellent cafe . Our guide Amy was fabulous , very personable , passionate and her enthusiasm is contagious. the cruise was simply sensational. Perfect length in a breathtaking area , mountains , waterfalls , dolphins , glaciers and seals . Excellent crew that were very informative. - Ann I6 contributionsThis tour hit all the highlights mentioned in the itinerary! Although the ride from Queenstown is long, it is broken up with stops at stunning vistas. The cruise was fabulous!! The scenic return flight back to Queenstown is NOT to be missed !

It’s a long trip but they kept us engaged with interesting commentary about the areas we passed through. They let us rest on the way home. It’s a demanding job and they did it well.
The Sound itself is a colossus of nature and the road in is a thrill. Buses were very comfortable with easy viewing of the wonderful sights. Plenty of stops for photos and bathroom breaks. Both drivers provided plenty of interesting information without talking too much on the drive. Nick dropped us right outside our AirBnB in Christchurch - bonus! - Susie L1 contributionMairi was a great driver and guide for the Mt Cook Small Group Scenic Day tour from Queenstown. She kept us informed of where we were headed and when we should buy our lunch. The Hooker Valley Track is a must do hike - we needed the full 3 hours to get to the end and back. The 3 suspension bridges made me a bit nervous when it was swaying, but I made it safely across. We were lucky we had a great group and all chatted and got to know each other. Mairi was so nice to share fresh picked raspberries with us. Our guide asked repeatedly about our pace, and from the beginning stressed that this was our hike and we could go as fast or slow as we wanted. She knew so much about the birds and plants, and she seemed to love what she does, which set the tone for a great day. The views were beautiful, flight was smooth and it was great to learn more about the area. The team did absolutely everything they could to arrange my flight, the pilots were fantastic and incredibly knowledgable and I was so impressed with the effort that was put in to make my flight possible.
