Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent a few hours at the Saturday morning markets and the food was excellent, lots of different craft stalls and a limited amount of fresh produce. My wife and I had a coffee at the Ryder coffee stall and I it had to be one of the best coffee I’ve had, hot and full of flavour. It’s worth a visit.

I stumbled upon this gallery while having a wander. The cute dogs in the window caught my eye, and while I like looking at art it has never been in my budget to purchase gallery work, however the "top rated tourist attraction" encouraged me inside. Not a big gallery but very aesthetically pleasing. Can be intimidating if it's not in your budget, however the lady working there was very friendly and engaging (not at all pretentious!) and had no problems me taking as many photos as I liked. Had never heard of Ivan Clarke but his 'Lonely Dog' works are so charming. I purchased a card to frame (very cute 'Catside Cocktails' with a little blurb on the back) for $5 (or you can get 6 for $25). Definitely worth a visit.

Wow- love this little market excellent local art- earrings handmade beadwork and small succulent gardens in planters made from corn sustainable‘plastic’ but it isn’t plastic! Leather bags and we found an amazing bonsai tree made from copper wire on a telegraph wood piece 100 years old from Otago demolition wood. Great find ! Saturday market only I’m told so lucky we stumbled upon it.

My husband and I adored our time doing through the Tim Wilson gallery and were mesmerised by his beautiful work. We're not usually huge art gurus but you can't help but be awed by these paintings. Rachel was such a lovely host and brought deeper meaning and significance to every piece by sharing the backstories and helping us to recognise and appreciate each detail and technique. It was also very special to be in Tim's very home as we soaked in his beautiful work. We would highly recommend this to anyone, it is not to be missed!

Experiencing Queenstown is one thing but finding the jewel in the crown “Art Bay Gallery” is an added bonus. The vast array of talented NZ and International artists is fabulous. Virut is one of our favourites. Definitely a must see. Always manage to find time to pop in and see what is new and interesting. Pauline and her wonderful staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable.

Small Planet is a rare find; a local store with genuine people who live the life around the products they sell. They offered us solid advice about the best gear for our needs as we upgraded our 30 year old equipment, and they are authentically good folks. If you need gear, or have questions stop in. Buy Local!

This gallery had quality items, not the tourist junk that is available everywhere. They feature several excellent artists working in greenstone and wood, including some creative carving I saw no where else during three weeks in NZ. The owner is knowledgeable and fair in his pricing. Don't go here if you can't tell junk from quality work.

The owners of the Gallery are very interesting people. I was attending as a wedding guest and it made an excellent wedding venue. Light, airy and a little different. The art work is varied and of a very high standard.

We were looking for one particular local artist and had done some googling, so we knew this gallery had some items we wanted to see. The website is informative.
The gallery is rather crowded, which makes it difficult to appreciate some of the works. But the owner is helpful, moving any particular painting around for you to see it in different light.
Good to see all the local works. Yes, we bought a painting, and yes, we will return for another look in this gallery next time we return to Queenstown.

ahh yes very lovely selection of rocks and fossils, so many to choose from. I got four tumbled rocks and one big aroha grounded stone. I will definitely buy more rocks and possibly some fossils when the store opens in Dunedin can't wait to buy more and excited for it to open in dunedin. Very friendly staff and definitely visit again and support the store when i am next in queenstown.

I don’t usually leave reviews… but my experience at Browns was nothing short of amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful… they made the whole experience stress free and enjoyable. We went on a trip with a big group and almost all of us hired from Browns, and we all couldn’t stop talking about how awesome they were to deal with. Seems like a lovely family run business, that clearly treat their staff really well because the staff were super friendly & all round good vibes to deal with!

We caught the bus from Queenstown to visit the Remarkables Town Centre for some shopping.

We were very dissapointed as it wasnt really to our liking. Quite a small town centre.

There are also not many eateries but we found Giovani Italian Restaurant which was very good.

    I wouldnt really bother.
