What travellers are saying
- funchick37Christchurch, New Zealand235 contributionsThis market was over the road from my Hotel. Got told by some people met on a tour that they wanted to go so meet them there. Is a nice market. With food, drinks, veges, plants, whitestone cheeses, books, soaps, sunnies etc . Is well laid out. Not junky 😀Written 30 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- PeteDeb45Auckland, New Zealand37 contributionsThis gallery has amazing paintings mainly of dogs, but also some cats. All paintings give a different take on our fury friends and are very funny & clever (originals & prints are for sale on site) I just wish i could afford one.Written 26 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Leather bags and we found an amazing bonsai tree made from copper wire on a telegraph wood piece 100 years old from Otago demolition wood. Great find ! Saturday market only I’m told so lucky we stumbled upon it.Written 6 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- RiversleaHamilton, New Zealand30 contributionsMeeting the artist and his wife and the time they spent with us explaining so many features of the magnificent paintingsWritten 18 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ken D15 contributionsThis gallery had quality items, not the tourist junk that is available everywhere. They feature several excellent artists working in greenstone and wood, including some creative carving I saw no where else during three weeks in NZ. The owner is knowledgeable and fair in his pricing. Don't go here if you can't tell junk from quality work.Written 24 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Q6883WGsimoncBeechworth, Australia39 contributionsFabulous location on the lake walk Linda was very welcoming. Interesting range of art and artists. Bought a few small but simple pieces. A must for our next trip to QueenstownWritten 1 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Emma BEast Freetown, MA188 contributionsI was looking for Moroni Wool and Possum fur to bring back with me. I found the cutest items there with appropriate designs (Kiwi & Sheep) to purchase for family members. This product is rather expensive and the quality of their product seemed as good as the others I had investigated. I selected my items from this store based upon price. There was good service which was added value. I helped in finding just the right product and selection. I will return to this store in the futureWritten 11 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gabriel HBellaire, TX6,991 contributionsThese two galleries (one at street level, the second, one floor up) offer a very interesting collection of modern paintings, ceramics, sculptures and multimedia objects. The collection focuses on modern New Zealand artists, and the works range from the attractive to the bizarre. Modern art is a moving target, and these galleries offer a provocative selection of works. In addition to what is on display, there is a much greater selection of works in storage that can be viewed through the gallery's catalogue. We found the attendants helpful and knowledgeable. MIlford galleries are at the end of a short alley, and within a few steps of several other leading art galleries in Queenstown.Written 23 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gabriel HBellaire, TX6,991 contributionsThis is one of the most crowded art galleries I have visited. There was not an inch of free space on the walls and paintings were leaning against each other, 5-6 deep, on the floor. There is no real organization, so you have to go through the entire exhibit to find something you like. There is a broad range of styles and qualities, and the only thing they seem to have in common is that all these pieces were created by local artists.Written 24 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- culturevulture94Clinton, WA696 contributionsQueenstown enjoys a terrific setting. The city fathers built the town into the towering hills; moreover, it sits beside a lovely lake surrounded by mountains. So what's not to like? The place reeks with high adventure hype--that's what. So much so that we felt it wasn't even worth overnighting there unless we planned to go bungy jumping or skydiving. Even so, we had fun parking our camper van in a hillock area formed for the "Amon Hen" scene in "Lord of the Rings." This was near Frankton, about 7km away from Queenstown city center.Written 7 January 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Candies to chocolates and from kiwi favourites to a taste of the UK, these guys have it covered. And you definitely don't want to miss their fugees either - a whole cabinet of different flavours including creme brulee and apple pie. You probably even get a free tasting of different fudge flavours. What's not to love? You definitely don't want to miss this one if you like the sweet things in life.Written 11 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
