- MissTinkerbelleChristchurch, New Zealand169 contributionsWe went to The Winery in Arrowtown as part of the hop on Hop off tour and what a hidden gem it was- we had walked past it the previous day and had no clue it was there!
It has 100s of wines abd you can choose to taste as many as you like with the chip card they give you. Choose the wines you taste; with the simple push of a button you can serve yourself either a taste, half or full glass. There were 5 Chardonnays and 4 Sav Balncs the day we were there. Relax and unwind in the comfort of the leather lounge chairs by the fire or sit outside while the sun shines.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. First time exploring Queenstown. Was great at the start because there was only 5 of us...then it got busy and you realise how small the space is. I think we managed to stay for 40 minutes. Cocktails were delicious. Would be great if you had a wall you could throw the cups to shatter. Throwing them in the box doesnt quite give the awesome affect of shattering ice. The drinks were so good even ones for the teens.

- Tahlia FMount Eden, New Zealand7 contributionsWonderful and friendly staff that had gone out of their way to gift-wrap a present my mom purchased from the shop for my mother in law - free of charge. The shop has beautiful decor with amazing jewellery, homewares, art, and clothing/accessories (which, I for one, would indefinitely visit again when I venture back to Queenstown).
Overall, the shop is aesthetically pleasing with great presentation and organisation. The staff were attentive, kind, and super helpful. However after ordering our drinks they offered us a free pizza, one of the best I have tasted. - Steve5 contributionsWe booked this trip for the couple we were staying with whilst in QT as a thanks for their hospitality. Chris is a big beer drinker so we knew he'd love the opportunity to go out and visit some places without driving that were outside of Queenstown. His wife, Sharon we were slightly worried about as she doesn't like beer too much but the stops on this tour catered for both! She tried ginger beer, ciders and mulled wines and Chris got to taste lots of different beers because the exclusive offers that accompany the tour. We stayed for about an hour and a half and enjoyed the couch and the music. It gradually started to fill up. Rashima (not sure the spelling) and Michaela were lovely, checking on us, recommending the Cocktail of the Week and the Summer Wine! Rashima explained the menu, and recommended the signature dish, Chateaubriand! We loved it!
