Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Driving in New Zealand is enjoyable. The main roads are generally in very good condition and there is plenty to see and do. It’s easy to become distracted so it’s better to pull over and take in the views. Leaving Dunedin and head south towards Invercargill brings you in contact with rich farming land, towns and villages. Heading from Invercargill towards Queenstown, the farms are replaced by stunning mountains and lakes. This is a wonderful journey - take your time and don’t rush.

We drove onto the beach for sunset and it was so lovely. The beach is so deep and long it never feels crowded. We took food with us and it was great sitting in the car/on the beach watching the sun go down.

It's a very short drive from the centre of Invercargill.

There were a few cars driving like idiots but they were few and far between, so don't let that put you off.

"The World's Southern-most 18 hole Golf Links" is how it is advertised - I just had to visit.
This is an experience that any real golfer will want to try. A small but very friendly club, run by members, this is golf as Old Tom Morris intended. The small clubhouse, although not permantly manned is quaint but functional. If you arrive 'out of hours' you are 'on your honour' to leave the green fee in the box.
The course is old style, classic Links terrain requiring course management - the way it should be.
Fairways are generous, the rough is punishing but don't blame the course if you're wayward. Hackers will blame the course, real golfers will want to come back. Some holes here e.g. Nos. 2 & 13 would not be out of place in Ballybunnion or Carnoustie.

Loved the trip across the strait - low enough to be able to see things and the approach to Stewart Island was great. First glimpse of the runway was a "how the hell are they going to land on that" moment - but it all worked out well and it was a great trip. Coming back was bumpy but it was more like a theme park ride - loved it all. Not a lot of room in the planes which probably made it feel more comfortable in many ways. Pilots were excellent - a sense of humour appears to be a prerequisite for them as they made us very comfortable with a fair amount of dry wit. Definitely worth the trip. And it's quicker than the ferry

Gosh we were so high maintenance and we didn't intend to be, but cycle surgery was amazing. We used their shuttles, their baggage transfer, their bikes, and they were patient and great with us throughout. We even had to change number of bags and add a pick up halfway. Highly recommend, fantastic bikes too.

Are you looking for a beautiful place to take your family for a holiday? Well you're in luck. Omaui is the perfect place for doing so. At Omaui you can do many different things like going to the Rocky Shore, going to the beach or even walking up Omaui reserve walk. Those are the things I did at Omaui camp.

At Rocky Shore you can do different things like looking at all the shipwrecks, looking for crabs or even just looking for cool stones.

Even though the weather was torrential, we still had a great time exploring at Rocky Shore.

At the beach you could do many different things like playing beach games, relaxing on the beach with your friends or even just having a good old game of rugby with our mates. Those are the things that you might want to do at the beach.

The Omaui reserve walk is enjoyable too because you can observe the surroundings and learn names of different types of plants.

Fun Fact; you can see Stewart Island in the distance at the top of the walking track.

That's why you should go check out Omaui with your family and friends.

From the easy booking process and clear instructions on location and payment, through to a brilliant and super relaxing massage (90 min), this was a great experience. Starting by taking me through how the massage would go, I was able to quickly relax and enjoy , a great holiday treat.
