Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dunedin Railway Station is a result of one of the richest mining industries in New Zealand. Dunedin is a prosperous city in the south of New Zealand's South Island, it's worth a visit to look around the city's railway highlights. These days, there's a beautiful restaurant that occupies part of the former railway station. Dunedin is an historic city, it's well worth a sight-seeing tour.

Outstanding service. We were coming from Ashburton to cycle the harbour loop. Rachel helped fit us on the harbour cruise at a time that meant our commute, harbour trip, and bike ride would be seemless with no waiting around. Communications with us were great, and reassured us when we took a wrong turn (Apple Maps) and thought we’d be late.

The actual trip across the harbour was beautiful, with great informative commentary, and our bikes were well looked after whilst loading and unloading.
100% recommend, thanks for helping make our trip very memorable, from Jann, Caryn & Jenny.

Ran into Salve by happenstance at the dock and ended up touring around with her all day. The rates are extremely reasonable and she is very knowledgeable about the area. Highly recommend for taxi or shuttle service!

A large group of us (9) used Ron's (and his limo) services over a weekend in Dunedin. On Saturday he picked us up in two groups (limo seats 8 in back and 1 rode up front with Ron) and we went out to Moeraki to Fleurs which is an outstanding restaurant! Ron then waited while we had a long lunch (he told us that he takes a number of people/groups out there and is happy to wait). He then bought us all back into town. The next day, six of the group worked out that Ron (and the limo) was a similar price as a shuttle to the airport so Ron took that group back to the airport. Ron was a pleasure to deal with before the trip and during the trips couldn't do enough for us. He's a great operator and the limo was clean and tidy (and he supplied glasses for us to drink our bubbles (as it was a significant birthday for one of the group).

Everyone in the group has spoken highly of Ron and we all really recommend him. Thanks Ron for adding to a great weekend in Dunedin.

This bus route is. In my opinion a must do while in dunedin. The bus departs every 10 minutes and the full ride costs $2. You must purchase a Bee card to tap on and off, this cost @$5 with a $10 or so top up you’re all set to get in the bus, sit back and enjoy the sights.
Along the way you will see South Dunedin, the city and North East Valley. You can hope on and off as you like.
The buses lower for baby prams and wheelchairs etc. very comfortable and modern.
You will see a huge range of different architectural styles from the 1890s through to modern.
Along the way you will be able to stop off and visit the octagon, Woodhaugh gardens, the university , the worlds steepest street, the world class botanical gardens and some funky bars and cafes.
No parking hassles and you will be happy not to co tribute much to global warming!
Sit back and enjoy the ride!

We were in the area on a cruise ship. We contacted Rob at the last minute due to the time it took for our ship to clear NZ customs, he was more than happy to accommodate a last minute change of time for us.

On the way over to the castle we watch as Rob also tried to catch some local fish which was great fun to experience.

Holy picked us up and took us up to the Castle. The whole experience was so much more fun than just getting a traditional taxi to the castle!!

On both trips to and from the castle we were the only guests on-board so felt like a private tour.

Keep up the good work guys 😎

First journey as visitors to CHC was within 2 kms of taxi depot) driver couldn't find our motel and didn't appear to have GPs.
Second time called from CHC city centre, after 20 mins cab hadn't turned up, called the despatcher again who said driver couldn't find location - (on tram route outside the I-site in Worcester Street)! They would send another taxi which turned up 20 mins later (also lost his way) so waited a total of 40 mins. That driver also didn't know where the I-site was despite being a local, argued that we gave wrong directions as he said 'everyone knows I-site means 'optometrist!'! Argued the whole way back to motel. At least he knew where it was this time! Will never use again.
Used Uber thereafter - perfect service, always at venue within 2 mins, used GPS - half the price. Excellent.

Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. My in-laws caught a shuttle from Dunedin airport into town, the driver was erratic and rude. A bag was accidentally left in the van and when the driver returned to deliver it (which was greatly appreciated) she hurled abuse at myself and another person on our property. We would have happily picked up the bag and/or offered a delivery fee but certainly not after being abused! TERRRIBLE service - pay the minimally extra fee and grab a taxi instead!
