Such an easy and beautiful drive with stunning scenery. And I got to see Seal Lions lazing on the beach. AMAZING

This was a great tour to do and we were lucky enough to see baby Albatross all fluffy and cute. Unfortunately we only saw the adults flying. The guide was passionate and very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about these spectacular birds. Such an educational experience.

Beautiful smooth track descending down to the point. Note: not for the weak heart on the way up lol Take your time just strolling both ways along the track, take in the views! THEY'RE AMAZING!!
Getting to walk through the tunnel down onto the private beach amoung some massive boulders was worth my dying thighs & lungs (be sure to be aware of tides if going down to the beach) lol even more so if you have read the history behind it :)
Take caution if you go on a slightly windier day, wear comfy foot/grippy footwear & spray jacket if you plan to go near the edge because the waves send buckets of sea spray up & over if the winds heading the right direction.
All in all, Stunning place to visit if ever in the Dunedin area!

Maia the kaitiaki/guide was a wealth of knowledge and passion for ecology and this experience. We were lucky to see the release of two penguins after they had spent time recovering at the centre,a yellow crested penguin in recovery, sea lions, little penguins nesting in their boxes, a male penguin surf in then make his way to his nest and incredible sunset scenes over the Moana.

Kaka's, Takahe's, black robins all only two metres close to me! So very stunning to walk along the pathways and see nature at its best. Friendly staff and my kids absolutely love it.

We enjoyed the walk around the well set out gardens. The area appears to be larger due to the well set out planting areas.
    A most worthwhile relaxing visit

This is such a beautiful beach and we were very fortunate to see a number of sea lions sheltering in the sand.It was a sunny but extremely windy day when we visited. This made the waves 'dance' in a most interesting way. It is a bit of a scramble to access the beech but is well worth it. Definitely a 'must-see'.

Beautifully done with respect and hospitality. Great explanations of meanings behind each area. An insight into a different world with connections to Dunedin.

Walked out and watched the sea lions finding their lunch. Enjoyed the vistas over to Taiaroa Head where we had seen the albatross colony day before. Well worth the drive out from Dunedin

Beautiful walk along the water front with stairwell access points down to the watwrs edge when the tide is right.
Views are amazing and they go on for miles.
Plenty of cafes, restaurants, coffee stops along the way.
There is a really cool rock pool at the top end (small charge to enter I think)
Great strolling spot to unwind at the end of the day or meet up with famiky and friends for lunch.

As a walk this is pleasant, but a word of caution, this should only be done by the sure footed.
The track in is dirt and stone and has some steep parts, so even with a little precipitation this track is quite slippery: wear good shoes.
Secondly, the very last section to the organ pipes is a steep climb over stones and rocks: not for the faint hearted or kids.
Parking is very limited at the start too, maybe for 4-6 cars only, depending on how they are parked!

Great weather made this a terrific day. The walk was fairly easy, interesting and above all not crowded or to too manicured . Well worth the visit.

Gardens are marvellous - what a lovely wander of exploration! Cafe was lovely - only reason for 4 stars was the slightly limited menu which was a bit more restaurant-y. The ginger crunch slice was yummy though and seemed to be home made!

The Ocean is beautiful cause it belongs to Earth. It was here before you and it will be here after you. Enjoy the Earth. It is a place to visit.

So close to the city but you are immediately in well established bush. Dam and waterworks are apparently amongst the earliest still in use in NZ: from 1867 I think? Waterbirds, birds in the bush, graded tracks: popular spot. Mostly easy walking on level track.
