Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved the interactive part. Made you focus and appreciate the art way more. Also really enjoyed the exposition of art work connected to Duniden and the south island.

The only reason this attraction has been marked "very good" instead of "excellent" is because of the renovations taking place that are temporarily hampering activity and display within. Still well worth a visit as these "Happy Hens" go all around the world.

Visited this wonderful gallery after hearing about the amazing window display.
The gallery is full of art and all local artists and a great variety.
The prices are realistic and a range to suit all budgets.

If more people would review this attraction it would streak up Dunedin's 'things to do' list. Print off the map onliine before you set out. There around 30 generally large, often amusing murals within a reasonable walking distance or each other. And there seems to be a few more since the last time we visited Dunedin three years ago. Definitely worth an hour of your time.

Owners Cecelia and Meg Welcomed us into their home and and shared with great passio. Their knowledge on a wide range of NZ and overseas artists. In a very unique setting all art was beautifully displayed. A must see for any decerning collector.

If your on a NZ cruise your ship will most likely berth at Port Chalmers for Dunedin. Before rejoining the ship take a few minutes to visit this gallery. It's only five minutes walk from the wharf entrance. Cross the street & turn left at the next corner. The Flying Whale is just a few doors up the road. A gallery displaying works by a local artist. Very whimsical offerings. Cards, prints, originals & many transferred to clothing & things like tote bags. Not your usual run of the mill souvenirs. I loved it & bought a print. Would have purchased more but it's all I have room to display at home.

If you are a magpie when it comes to beautiful jewellery you must have a look here. Wonderful service by a knowledgable and extremely helpful young lady. She totally let me play with al the jewellery there was no snobbery that is sometime found in such a well stocked art gallery. Walked out with the most gorgeous ring from a local artist. Lovely to take home a wee bit of Otago with me.
