What travellers are saying
- missjaybChristchurch, New Zealand8 contributionsSo many things for the children to do, from teeny tots to big adult kids ;)
There is also great food vendors there (I think only on the weekend) and free BBQ's too... If you are looking for somewhere to kill time in between naps, this is the playground for your family!Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - MBBP1 contributionTook my neice and nephew on the tandem karts as they're bother under8. They had an absolute ball! Staff were really attentive and a good safety focus whilst remaining fun!Written 28 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marlaina CNew Plymouth, New Zealand2,727 contributionsAs casinos go this is really cool, open seven days a week. They are extremely Covid conscious so you will feel at ease. The dinning area had about 6 televisions all plying different sports good atmosphere. Only three to four at a table at least a meter apart. Masks are worn by all staff and unless you have an exempt card you too will be expected to wear a face mask, only to be taken off when you eat or drink.
A magnitude of slot machines all set apart. We played Roulette and I came away a winner, Lol. I highly recommend a visit, a free tip, do what I do when you win, walk away with your winnings.Written 17 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - WilsonFamilyNzPleasant Point, New Zealand535 contributionsWhat an amazing adventure for all ages and it’s free. Plenty of free parking and great levels for all ages. Bring your kids here it’s a mustWritten 25 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LydiaHopkinsDunedin, New Zealand21 contributionsI took two teens on a pretty cool day and it was still pretty busy, I imagine due to the great outdoor space it would be packed out on a hot day. The three outdoor slides were a hit for us. I can’t help thinking there must be a market for a much bigger pool complex in Christchurch. If you are tossing up between QEII and Jellie Park, definitely pick Jellie Park if the weather is hot. The indoor pool space is probably comparative to QEII anyway.Written 5 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- imarandommTasman, New Zealand18 contributionsWe climb often at our hometown and had a great time climbing here. Friendly staff, serious about safety and a whole variety of routes for beginner to advanced. Will come again next time we're in Chch.Written 13 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Anth BMaroochydore, Australia343 contributionsWent to the public bar downstairs -Spectators- not a bad little place with some decent beers and food. It has a nice spot outside. The function rooms up the top of the buliding are really excellent and work a visit if you have a bit more money to spend.Written 27 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LydiaHopkinsDunedin, New Zealand21 contributionsIf you have teens, don’t bother. We found the staff friendly but with only one slide and pools mostly taken up with aqua jogging and lane swimming, this pool is no good for older kids, you have a portion of a shallow pool and pretty much nothing else. We left within an hour and went to Jellie Park instead.Written 5 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Daniel W124 contributionsLifeguards are now encouraged to promote the council slogan, more people more active more often meaning that you can ask for toys and inflatables are often put in including a big obstacle course for a few hours on each Sunday. Definitely better in summer with dive boards and hydroslides open but worth a visit either way - don't be afraid to ask questions!Written 10 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Martin1 contributionMy wife and I did the Archery and Air Rifle shooting, both were great fun. We will be back to do the Clay shooting. The activities are well instructed so even beginners like us can get into them and enjoy. Would highly recommend if your at terrace Downs or in the area to give this a go.Written 28 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- beccabensemannChristchurch, New Zealand1 contributionWe had such a fantastic time! The team at velocity karts were very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.
I can't wait to go again!!Written 4 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kyra1 contributionWe did the "Into the dark" room as a family and it was amazing! The room was engaging, immersive and challenging without being frustrating. We loved doing it in the dark - it added a fresh spin having to feel our way around the room and yell out what we found to our team. The clues were original and fun and the staff were friendly and flexible. Highly recommended!Written 18 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kathy L3 contributionsGreat family fun, frustrating and rewarding at the same time. Lots of chatting, laughs and celebrations. Proud of ourselves 😁Written 26 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JuliaAuckland, New Zealand16 contributionsWe had a fabulous time. Bouldering has got to be my least fave way to climb (because in short you aren't attached to anything that will save your life lol) but even I found climbs that I could do!
Miss 12 thought it was going to be a pretty short visit (as I usually can't complete anything) but she was super impressed they had boulder problems at my skill level lolololol.
The staff were fab, the food was great and the climbers were friendly, all in all, a great way to wile away a few hours (and burn some calories to boot!)Written 13 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Angel Rose4 contributionsReally cozy atmosphere with super friendly staff and cats! I'd recommend it to anyone ♥️ Ordered a coffee aswell and it tasted great with very cute cat-related presentation. Definitely coming back again ☺️Written 27 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
