- Kate J1 contributionOverall a great tour - got to try a really wide selection of wines, I’ve lost count of how many different wines there actually were! Tania was an excellent guide, lots of fun and gave us lots of information about the area.
We originally booked on the tour without a lunch - which was then unavailable after we had booked, so not ideal but moved onto the tour with a lunch. The staff at the wineries was knowledgable of the products and served a nice variety of wines for tasting along with isharing nformation specific to the area about grapes and wine making. - Shirley W2 contributionsWe had a fabulous day out visiting 3 different wineries. Giles was very knowledgeable and professional. Lunch was at Torlesse Wines, and the Platter provided was lovely. Other Wineries we visited were Pegasus Bay and Georges Road. Booking the tour was easy and communication regarding pick up and Dietary requirements was excellent. - spottedcat55Mahtomedi, MN26 contributionsThis was a private tour--just my husband and I--in a very nice car for a drive north of Christchurch to visit three wineries, on to Hanmer Springs town for lunch and then on to the hot spring pools. Lunch was fantastic at the Rustic Café (beautiful tapas!!) and a PRIVATE hot springs pool was reserved for us to use for 30 min. After that we had a couple hours to relax in all the other pools. On our drive home our driver was attentive to our wishes to stop and drone and take pictures of some sheep. He also had local snacks in the back pockets of the seats in front of us to try along with bottled water. The morning tour of the city with just two other people was beautiful and Christchurch is at the top of our list to come back and discover... One day off the cruise ship wasn't enough!
After the morning, we picked up more people and headed to the wine tastings. The small group we had from around the world became fast friends. We had such an amazing afternoon of wine tasting, beautiful views and friendly people. We didn't want it to end!

Their passion was captivating but could not match it. We thoroughly enjoyed her company throughout the better part of a day. Her personal connection with the wineries made for a special experience as well. - Sally S9 contributionsI had a stop in Christchurch before meeting friends in Australia and love wine and golf so this was an easy pick to do for a free day. I am so grateful I did. I had a great 18 holes and then three winery tastings. I can’t say enough about the day except that I would have gradly paid double for the experience. Grant picked me up where I was staying and as my personal guide for the day. In addition to playing Pegasus Golf which was a very modern and playable but beautiful course, the three wineries were personal and fun and had a great boutique experience.
