Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Hannah C2 contributionsAlways an excellent venue for after work drinks and a snack. Some of the best and most reasonably priced beers in town with live music Friday and Saturday nights.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shane BTe Awamutu, New Zealand812 contributionsWe went here for a couple of drinks and were so impressed went back for dinner that night.
First time had a tasting tray of 4 beers/ciders all were good I was quite surprised with the prices as low as $8 or $9 for a pint of their craft beer a couple which I tasted and were good. They have limited opening hours during the week as a staff member explained they are primarily a brewery not focused on being a bar.
They have a limited menu mainly a small variety of gourmet pies when we went back for dinner there was a food truck out the front selling dumplings. Staff explained well the food truck was there they didn't serve their own food but encouraged customers to buy from the food truck, I thought this was great supporting another local business.
You can purchase food from other food outlets and bring it to the bar to eat a growing trend I found in Australia.
Go here for some good price very drinkable craft beer, buy a gourmet pie or bring your own food.Written 15 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We like Harringtons Beer avalable at the supermarket so were keen to see more so called in for there lunch as it looked amazing on the website. The young girl who seemed to be the only one there was pleasant however some of their beers on tap had run out so we were unable to try. The lunch menu was nothing like i thought and only consisted of bar snacks which we settled to order but they had run out of most items on the menu except nuggets and chips which was not what we were looking for. Overall we will not go back, as we were the only ones there and felt out of place so couldn’t enjoy our beer tasting.Written 20 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
