What travellers are saying
- CamdaWellington, New Zealand629 contributionsFirst time here and a great market with a lot of stalls. Lovely setting by the river and the historic Riccarton House. Wonderful products from dog treats, cheese, flowers, porridge to vegan goods.Written 11 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- milliesmum2016Christchurch, New Zealand1,809 contributionsThis is a charming little Farmers Market in the grounds (or at least adjacent to) the Rudolf Steiner School in a pretty location on the banks of the Heathcote River. It's a lovely recreational way to get your 5+ a day and you can be sure that everything is fresh and seasonal and probably organic. There is also a collection of artisans selling all sorts of different and delicious prepared product - breads, cheeses, treats etc and also vege seedlings. There are refreshment stands so it's also a great place to meet friends for a coffee in the sun. Not sure ho you go there on public transport but there's plenty of street parking on the river. Dust off your wicker basket!Written 21 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CBADTALisnaskea, UK82 contributionsVisited this little market on Saturday morning and really enjoyed the experience. Fresh produce and 1st class coffee well worth a visit if you are in the area.Written 25 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- training1029Christchurch, New Zealand205 contributionsI love having fresh produce available so close to my office. It's great to be able to pick some up at lunchtime or on my way home. The prices are very competitive too. Since this is also part of the Riverside Market, it's interesting to take a look at what else is around.Written 2 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- milliesmum2016Christchurch, New Zealand1,809 contributionsVisited the farmers market at the community centre today. Nothing of real interest. Mostly a collection of stalls and vendors I had come across at other local markets around Christchurch. I wouldn't bother going out of my way for it but if you're in the area, you may like to do a circuit.Written 18 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
