Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- TravelingAmosNew Jersey870 contributionsWe were there for the last couple of hours on a Sunday in August. No problem parking. Vendors were OK. You may find some bargains. The food vendors and entertainment were the highlight.Written 22 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pakabayAdelaide, Australia2,509 contributionsI understand that the Garden City Makete at the Arts Centre is normally only held on a Sunday, but luckily for us it was being held on a Saturday. Perhaps to coordinate with our cruise ship being in town?
Either way, we were the winners. A great market with genuine local handcrafted goods and passionate vendors. Throw in a good number of food trucks, a perfect summer’s day and it all made for a great event with a nice vibe.
Located right on the historic hop on hop off tram route (stop 12) and a few metres from the botanical gardens.Written 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FeliciaSingapore, Singapore24 contributionsWent there around late noon, and food stalls take up most of the market. Wouldn't make my way down especially but would drop by if in the area for a snack. It is locared right infront of the Cathedral.Written 18 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- PalmviewFort Myers Beach, FL333 contributionsI was walking back to my hotel after a long day of sightseeing when I, by luck, came across the International Market on Peterborough Street. The Market is a food lovers delight. Food and vendors from all over the world prepare healthy foods for everyone's pallet. And the good news is that prices are extremely reasonable for large portions. The vendors do not skimp. A lot of the food is even prepared while you wait. I had an excellent chicken curry dish. And as an added attraction live 50s -60s music was played by a small local band. While eating my meal sitting on a slab of concrete, I met a lovely couple from the North Island who had recently moved to the South Island. I stayed for over 1 1/2 hours just enjoying the people, music, and beautiful warm evening. Hint: Seating is limited, but you'll find someplace to sit...don't let a little inconvenience keep you away.Written 26 March 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CamdaWellington, New Zealand888 contributionsAs tourists to Christchurch we googled the markets on in the weekend. First we went to the Saturday Farmers' Market (excellent) then we spent over $20 to Uber to the Brighton one. Big mistake. Would not recommend. Out of town and just about 6-10 stalls selling mostly rubbishy stuff and beneficiaries busking. Unsure why New Brighton with its beach location is such a dump but the new heated pools I believe are quite a draw card.Written 11 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
