Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- I_Love_Holidays20118Coventry, UK253 contributionsWe just did a short walk up to the point and back. The views are lovely. The viewpoint is not as far as the end of the track so you do t have to walk that far to enjoy the best views.Written 20 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graeme SAuckland, New Zealand11 contributionsLovely flat walk through salt marsh to the wreck of the SS Waverley. We did (in our 60s) the loop in just under 2 hours walking time. Lots of birds including herons, shags, ducks, hawks. geese, swallows, skylarks. Nice to find a picnic table at the wreck. Not sure about other reviewers saying dog friendly. According to the DOC website dogs are banned!Written 11 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Susan DBlenheim, New Zealand4 contributionsI did this 3wwalk in 2014 with a group of friends and had a local leading the way. He was full of local stories and made the walk so interesting. We heard Kaka but did not see them ...pity. When we got to the top we were engulfed in cloud so no stunning views either way. Visibility improved as we descended towards Linkwater. An early start but well worthwhile. Highly recommend.Written 2 March 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
