Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Couldn't book it online, but a lady on the phone has been really helpful, thank you for this easy communication ! Quick responder.

Everything was so perfect, from the beginning until the end ! Tania, our driver, put such a nice atmosphere all along the trip ! Lots of stop at wonderful view points, not so many customers on the boat, great information to learn a little bit more where we are and to finish a lovely nice walk even if it was under the rain !

If I was going back to Milford Sound, I will definetely book again with Cruise Milford without hesitation ! Thank you so much for the amazing day we spent !

    The two frenchies girls.

We caught the coach from Te Anau and our coach driver, Brad, was fabulous; telling us the history of the building of the road through the mountains; stopping on the way to admire the wonderful scenery and beautiful waterfalls. Heavy rain meant epic waterfalls to point out. The overnight cruise on the Milford Mariner was equally amazing with great food, knowledgeable staff, a comfortable clean cabin and again splendid waterfalls. Would highly recommend.

A very great tour. Rhys was our guide for the day. It was an early start but well worth it. There were several stops along the way for scenic shots and local information. The tour company handled everything including lunch so we had no worries! The boat tour of Milford sound was scenic and enjoyable. It was a long day but it’s probably highly recommend that this tour be done with a guided company instead of on your own.

We loved this whole experience from the boat trip to exploring the caves and the interesting information sessions. Even my 4 year old had an amazing time and was captivated the entire time. The caves were breathtakingly beautiful.

A fabulous afternoon out with Craig, even though I am from Dunedin I learnt a lot. The views were spectacular on the drive there and return, and the commentary was interesting and varied. The wildlife was amazing and we were very lucky to see 5 yellow eyed penguins returning after a day out feeding, many seals/seal pups, and sea lions. Craig was very respectful and knowledgeable about the wildlife, and aware of creating minimal disturbance with our viewing. Lots of photographic opportunities. Highly recommended.

We booked this tour since it included a landing on the Glacier. Original time was 09:30, however there were some clouds not allowing the original flight time.

The whole thing was handled highly professional and we got re.scheduled to the afternoon. Clouds opened up and off we went.

Dion was our pilot and his comments and explanations were great. He helped us to take pictures and all of us truly enjoyed every moment.

Fantastic scenery, great pilot, safe aircraft, all was perfect.

We did Heli flights before, amongst them also the Grand Canyon, the Great Ocean Road, the Iguazu Waterfalls and some other places but this was by far the best we have done!

Thanks to the whole team, you made our experience unforgettable!

Great day out! Andrew was an excellent guide, lots of interesting commentary along the way. Lots of stops, never rushed, a couple of short walks on the way back added to the day. I first used Trips & Tramps 30+ years ago and glad I went back!

From the crossing of Lake Manapouri, the bus across Wilmot Pass to the actual cruise - it was an amazing experience.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great and the boat was excellent.
Doubtful Sound is a breathtakingly beautiful, untouched part of the world. And then there were the dolphins - what a marvellous creature, sheer delight.

We booked the 1/2 day fly/cruise/fly package before our holiday online. The booking was seamless and excellent communication from time of booking. We were picked up at our hotel by the very friendly Matt and driven to the aircraft. Our pilot, Andrew, was friendly and informative. Take off and landing was very smooth. We had a few bumpy patches in the air due to air pockets, but never felt unsafe - it added to the adventure! The views from the plane simply breathtaking. The cruise ship took us through Milford Sound where we again had the privilege of seeing the most spectacular scenery. The whole experience was 100% and thoroughly recommended. Thank you

It is a little bit of a walk from the parking lot to the depot for the cruise ships but it is worth it when you get on the comfortable, not overly crowded boat to ride around Milford Sound (Fjord). You can see most everything from either inside or outside. The views are breathtaking and the cruise is not to long or to short. As goldilocks would say... it is just right!
The underwater Observatory is a unique experience that adds a little more enjoyment to the trip.

Excellent tour and great guide, Stephen. Wet weather produced plenty of waterfalls and there was even light snow on the peaks. Appropriate attire allowed for the walking.
