Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have to thank Seal Cost Safari for being so easy to work with through the booking process. They were super responsive and kept in touch up to the day of our tour. That said, we had an awesome day with Blue at the Gardens and rainforest. The highlight of the day was getting to see the seals in their natural habitat.

Kelvin, our driver was marvelous, he knew of our ship's 1 hour earlier departure even before he arrived. Family/friend trip for 8 and our mobility impaired folks were well accommodated by him. Fantastic sights, awesome commentary, great suggestions to tailor the trip to what we wanted to see/do . I highly recommend this company...and an extemely delicious lunch was provided! Fantastic time had by all!

Earlier this year my wife and I went on this wine tour. Absolutely marvellous! Tom was the perfect host, picking us up from our hotel In Wellington and looking after us superbly throughout the day. We were in New Zealand - visiting from the UK - for several weeks and there were lots of highlights but the Martinborough Wine Tour was right up there - a truly memorable day!

We started the tour at C’est Cheese in Featherston and then on to the Le Gra Vineyard in Masterton - run by Brian and his lovely family - excellent wine and excellent food! After this we went to Greytown Honey - wonderful tasty honey and we couldn’t resist buying some. Then on to Poppies Vineyard in Martinborough - a different experience and some lovely wines. We went back to Wellington via Kaitoke Regional Park where the Rivendell scenes from the Lord of the Rings films were shot. Stunning!

We had a wonderful day that we will never forget. If you are planning to be in the Wellington area for any time at all we strongly recommend that you contact Tom at Kaewa Tours for a memorable experience.

For a comprehensive overview of Wellington, with private insights from an informed guide, this is the place. Bryce made sure we did the must-sees like the waterfront, Parliament and a ride on the cable car, but made sure we had breathtaking views of the City from all sides which gave a great orientation not just to the history, but to the geography of Wellington.

Wonderful day. Great introduction to the Kapiti coast. Tom was great at tailoring my day to include my interests. I had a great time and felt comfortable traveling with him as a female solo traveler.

A great day out viewing the kapiti coast, very relaxing and informative. Stopping at the car museum, chocolate shop, a wonderful lunch at a Cafe, watched and fed the eels and a stop at a local brewery for some beer tasting. Thank you we all enjoyed our day

We enjoyed this tour with another couple (very nice Aussie's) guided by Andrew. This trip was way more than expected. Andrew stopped at several Lord of The Rings filming sites including Helm's Deep (a quarry) and provided a LTR tour book to review. We made several scenic overlook stops. Andrew was able to add historical personal references from family history of ANZACs and had a notebook of copies of newspaper clippings relevant to the story. Then we visited three outstanding wineries and ate at Poppie's with a fine charcuterie board including pork belly and our favorite wine choice. We stopped to enjoy a coffee at a local coffee shop and then ventured into an award winning chocolatier that offered samples. The chocolate lemongrass was our favorite. Then on our way back Andrew offered to drive us into Wellington for a quick view of the city and then back to the cruise ship on time. This was a wonderful tour and highly recommended. Kudos to Andrew.

We had the best time traveling around with Tom. First and foremost his driving was impeccable on the windy streets of Wellington! We could not have done that kind of driving ourselves. Everyone we met at each of the establishments were fond of Tom and therefore fond of us. That made a huge difference than if we had done this on our own. We love food tours and they are the best ways to get to know a city. This tour with Tom goes down as one of the best!

My wife and I did the full day craft beer tour with John and had the best day of our trip. John picked us up from the hotel and we headed north out of Wellington to see some sights before hitting Boneface Brewery at Brewtown for our first tasting of the exceptional craft beer scene in Wellington. Lunch at Panhead and then onto Parrot Dog and finishing up at Garage Project. On the journey John's knowledge of the local area is fantastic and he showed us sights we would never have found on our own. This "at your own pace" tour was an absolute must for the craft beer lover. Thanks John!

My private tour with Tom out of Kapiti in Wellington was nothing short of fantastic. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, passionate, and personable guide to show you the beauty of this region, look no further

This was such an amazing day. Tom is such a wonderfully relaxed and knowledgeable guy who loves showing people wine country around Martinborough. His commentary throughout the day made this a truly memorable experience. Our wine tasting at Le Gra and lunch provided by Nicky Geary and Brian was delightful. The rose was particularly tasty. Later, at Johner Estate, we were surprised with freshly picked grapes in addition to the delicious wines. Our stop at Poppies was so much fun. The Sauvignon Semillon was something we don’t usually seek out, but this one was really good.

Since Tom heard that we were Lord of the Rings fans, on the way back to Wellington, he stopped at Kaitoke Regional Park where Rivendell scenes were filmed. That was a real treat. Tom seems to know everyone, and they know him. If we ever make it back to New Zealand, we will certainly book his Foodie Delights Tour. Thanks for an unforgettable day!

The tour vehicle arrived punctually at the hotel, and that was the beginning of a brilliant day. The tour vehicle was comfortable and clean, and the actual attractions were terrific. Then we made our way up to the coast and the birds, and it was a good day for travelling, with no so much wind.

    Cheers to Lucian

    What an amazing trip!
There was a wide range of activities from cultural to adventure activities and a few surprises, which we absolute gems, up the tour guide's sleeves.

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and helped everyone in every way he could. He made us all feel comfortable and it was amazing to see how much of a family we all became so quickly.

I have travelled a fair bit around the world but this was the first time I have booked a tour. This was my second trip to New Zealand but I learnt so much.

I will definitely be booking with the company in the future to do the South Island.

The only criticism I have is that what is included and the additional activities on offer were different on different websites.

My friend and I booked through Backpacker Deals, then when we went on the Haka Tours website we realised we had to contact the company to book stuff that wasn't on the other website.
