Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A living church. When I visited there, it was filled with a chorus and a magnificent atmosphere. It became open a few years ago. Highly recommended.

This is a modern building, constructed in the Art-deco style. The interior is bright, airy and peaceful so it was a real joy to be able to visit this lovely building. It was also great to see that it is open so that people can just walk inside.

Historical and beautiful exterior church. Surrounded by modern cafes, shops and businesses. It’s an oasis of calm besides a spiritual destination.
Very community oriented. Stop by for a prayer or simply for some quiet.

We received warm greetings by the vicar when we arrived. He kindly shared his knowledge with us about this church and its rich history. This is a very beautiful and pristine church. Being one of the oldest church in Wellington area this church was built in 1848 and it still has the original old bell. It is worth a visit.

I attended an open day at St. Gerard's Monastery recently. The Redemptorist Monks and brothers left this building in 1988. Two private firms were interested in buying the building but those sales fell through for different reasons. Now it belongs to a Catholic Missionary Society and these people showed us the church, the stained glass windows and also the adjoining building. This building has a smaller chapel, dining room, kitchen and library. There is also a private lawn with a splendid outlook to the city and Wellington Harbour.

Found this on trip advisor during a vacation in New Zealand, and gave it a go...half way around the home from home (California Bay Area). Come to find out, there's a sister center called the SF Buddhist Center within walking distance from my job. Meditation for an hour then teaching for the next hour. Everyone was so nice. Must do for anyone who meditates.

This nice church was next door to my hotel on my recent trip to Wellington. Sadly for the most part it was closed. I managed a quite sneak around inside during a Sunday morning mass, and the church is beautiful, but access is not as open as some other churches in Wellington. Still, a fantastic classical church and an interesting attraction in central Wellington.

Father John got me to church and that in itself was amazing. I really enjoyed the service, felt at peace and in harmony. I may even return

This was afar more humble and down to earth , probably reflecting the nature of the Methodist church. Had seen Saint Gerard on the top of the hill and it was a very imposing structure. Saw the Wesley Church from a distance and it stood out for its more discrete approach.

Not sure where Tripadvisor's photo is from, but it's not 68 Webb St! The Russian Orthodox Church in Webb St is a large square brick building, quite attractive but nothing like the photo. You can only view it from the street, it was turned into flats at least 15 years ago.
