What travellers are saying
- notsurewherehomeisPleasanton, CA10 contributionsAbsolutely wonderful day, kayaking to the canyon, worth every penny. Our guide Josh had a great balance of humour, fun banter and intriguing information.Written 24 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nina BAuckland Central, New Zealand249 contributionsWhat an amazing park just 20 minutes away from Tauranga. Beautiful lake with a lakeside walkway and many picnic spots. There are different paths you can take and very picturesque landscapes to enjoy. It is especially colourful in Autumn. There is a cafe on site. Use GPS to help you exit the park, the one way road is a bit confusing.Written 30 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TravellerPoriruaGreater Wellington, New Zealand329 contributionsIt was a pleasure to do this event, It takes about 30 mins being older couple but youngsters can do much faster. Clean air and atmosphere.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jennypenny17 contributionsOne of my regular walks and it never gets old....particularly gorgeous after a good amount of rain. Can be slippery in parts, but not unmanageable, and steep but absolutely worth it.Written 10 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Caroline MGreater Wellington, New Zealand12 contributionsWhat a fun beautiful display. The characters are very well done and the children will love it. AmazingWritten 7 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TravellerPoriruaGreater Wellington, New Zealand329 contributionsThe beach was quite clean and the sand is white and enjoyable. Nice to walk to Moturiki Island on a well laid walkway. Unfortunately most Cafe's and eateries close by 3pm.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- hanniepexAuckland, New Zealand480 contributionsSince this is a quarry park, most of the paths are muddy and uneven. We went there when the rain just stopped.
The flowers, trees and the garden are well manicured. My daughter enjoyed the Butterfly garden and it is educational. The rose garden smells terrific. There’s a garden with Braille system and they call it Sensory garden.
Some parts are covered. The pond has a lot of insects.
Parking is quite plenty. Toilet is fine and this park has water fountain too.
There’s a lookout point which is a good spot to rest and talk some nature’s photos.
Overall, this Garden is good place to visit.
Takes 1 hour to see everything in this park.Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - r0nnie24Auckland Central, New Zealand15 contributionsI wasn't sure if i could do the track because of an injured leg.
But i am so glad i did, it was an easy walk worth taking.Written 13 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Tazcfh2 contributionsAs adveritsed. Reasonably priced with lots of animals to pat, especially being able to put the toddler in the cage with the rabbits and lamb. The animals were mostly friendly and eager to be fed. Approximate times and/or distances would be helpful so you know how long it would take for the bushwalk, to go to the lookout etc.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Libby197533 contributionsWent as a group with a group of 14 year olds (plus an adult!) and had so much fun. The first couple of courses set you up for the harder levels and give you confidence the higher up the tree you go. Lots of laughter all the way ( to hide the fear!) and staff really helpful. Will definitely be back!Written 26 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jess HTauranga, New Zealand104 contributionsPilot bay is where we go to eat fish and chips on the beach! so relaxing and peaceful. The borad walk is nice and easy to walk along and there is the hot pools, shops and ice creams close by! not to mention u can walk round the mount nice and easy and there's close parking to the water.Written 1 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- crocteaserAuckland, New Zealand287 contributionsEgg and spoon races. Kids activities even a karaoke night. That is the stuff that memories are made of. Excellent facilities. Excellent staff. Good prices and we have totally enjoyed our week here.
Hot pools and a great big communal kitchen area make this place awesome.
Thanks so much for everything guys you will see us again.Written 27 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ezra710Christchurch, New Zealand1,382 contributionsA great spot for retail therapy or, as we did, to catch up with friends over lunch [lots! of options]. Clean facilities and easy parking. Seems to always have road works outside when we visit?! But a small price to pay.Written 10 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Emma5 contributionsFirst ever Skydive and it won't be the last. Tristan and the team were amazing, nothing a problem. Sooo much funWritten 6 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- peterchristian888Tauranga, New Zealand2 contributionsThe simulator evening at the Aviator for our 19 managers was by far the best experience we’ve tried. The amazing authentic flying of Spitfires, trying to take out colleagues out over England in 1939, and the mind-blowing reality of the F18 fighter jet, will be hard to beat.
Additionally the event environment (looking across the airstrip with an array of aircraft buzzing around and the state of the art Fire Rescue vehicle paying a visit), and the professional event set up, topped off all components of a first class team event or a mates/ or family get together. Craig and his other aviators, who are there to guide you as you scan the British (or French) countryside for prey to blow out of the sky, are a highly experienced and easy to follow.
We’re planning more events there and have a few individuals heading back on their own….it’s very good value!
