Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- TravelingMomGrandmaHouston, TX1,097 contributionsBeautiful beach and free to use. The waves are great for surfing. It is large enough to not be on top of others.
Only complaint would be no wash off point near the exit. There is one down the hill.

- iowacityiaiowa city, ia2,993 contributionsMy wife and I started our walk around 4pm, going clockwise, starting from the pilot quay corner. I think AllTrails has the trail at 2.2 miles around. It was a beautiful day, and the walk itself was lovely. What a nice way to spend some of our afternoon. We had finished up a shore excursion from our Princess cruise ship, and thankfully still had time for this walk.Written 24 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kori AMount Maunganui, New Zealand47 contributionsStunning on a sunny day! Watch the rowers, families swimming and teenagers jumping off the pier. Stroll on the sidewalk, or watch the passengers coming and going from the cruise ships. - BartonbearsCoffs Harbour, Australia2,779 contributionsWe spent a highly enjoyable hour and a half in this peaceful and attractive setting. The volunteer gardeners have done a sensational job converting the former quarry into a beautiful park. For those with less energy we would recommend giving the top section a miss, as it lacks the attractive plantings found lower down and is steep and awkward in places. The free guide maps that describe the plantings and the sculptures are very useful. One could easily spend half a day here if only there was a cafe!Written 22 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GangWarilyNanoose Bay, Canada374 contributionsWe have been to this hot pool twice and enjoyed ourselves both times. Compared to other pools like Wairakei or the Polynesian, this one is more swimming pool like and being associated with a campground I imagine it is more “family friendly “ although at both our visits the pool was quiet and we pretty much had it to ourselves. We liked the shade the surrounding trees provided and we liked the inflated pool noodles provided. The water comes from underground but is odourless and not too hot. The change facilities
are fine.Written 18 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Such an amazing trail through the forests, the horses were extremely healthy and well looked after, and safety was a top priority which reassured the anxious members of our family.
