What an amazing park just 20 minutes away from Tauranga. Beautiful lake with a lakeside walkway and many picnic spots. There are different paths you can take and very picturesque landscapes to enjoy. It is especially colourful in Autumn. There is a cafe on site. Use GPS to help you exit the park, the one way road is a bit confusing.

Its a challenging track because we tagged along our 4 year old daughter and we stopped almost every corner. (Hahaha)
The trail is very easy to use. Steps could be steep and slippery when wet. The summit view offers breathtaking view of Tauranga harbour, Beaches and the city. That >1 hour walk is worth it.

One of my regular walks and it never gets old....particularly gorgeous after a good amount of rain. Can be slippery in parts, but not unmanageable, and steep but absolutely worth it.

Mainly flat easy walk. Enjoyed the one km tunnel. Do not need a touch.
Very popular walk and more than one walk so plenty of choose for all groups.

Since this is a quarry park, most of the paths are muddy and uneven. We went there when the rain just stopped.
The flowers, trees and the garden are well manicured. My daughter enjoyed the Butterfly garden and it is educational. The rose garden smells terrific. There’s a garden with Braille system and they call it Sensory garden.
Some parts are covered. The pond has a lot of insects.
Parking is quite plenty. Toilet is fine and this park has water fountain too.
There’s a lookout point which is a good spot to rest and talk some nature’s photos.
Overall, this Garden is good place to visit.

Takes 1 hour to see everything in this park.

As adveritsed. Reasonably priced with lots of animals to pat, especially being able to put the toddler in the cage with the rabbits and lamb. The animals were mostly friendly and eager to be fed. Approximate times and/or distances would be helpful so you know how long it would take for the bushwalk, to go to the lookout etc.

Great loop circuit to go for a jog, walk, or simply lie aside to look at the estuary. Wonderful views to the Mt Maunganui as well. My favorite place to run in the neighborhood.

A lovely, spacious park for the public to benefit from. We went as a family and let the well behaved dog off the lead. Our well behaved granddaughter enjoyed her picnic so everyone was happy. Our son had a few runs around the park in preparation for the upcoming football season - he actually plays footie at this park - no wonder he brought us here!

Just beautiful is this lovely family park. The trees and garden beds are fabulous. There are BBQ facilities. This is also the start of the estuary foreshore walk of 1/2 hour around to Fraser Cove. Take the kids!

On the day that we had a stroll, a group of volunteers are doing clean up on the entire area.
This island is quite small and takes 30 minutes to walk through. There are designated path walks to follow.
No toilet on this island. Bring your water bottle as it could be hot and humid.
Remember to bring your rubbish with you.

This is under promoted as an excellent family walk. Good for biking or walking. Excellent picnic spot and a nice little water fall. We parked James Cook Drive.
