This place is in the country and worth a visit.

Hands-on glass sculptures for sale of all sizes and shapes. I bought the most beautiful glass flower.
    Staff are very helpful.

The items are made on site, and you can watch the items being made.

Walk through to the little cafe and sit outside in the sun. Salmon eggs Benedict was excellent.
Next door, there is a gate, and a separate fee is required to walk around the sculpture gardens.

This is lovely on a sunny day. If you just want to spend a couple of hours at this venue for time out, you won't be disappointed.

We booked 2 villas for 7 nights - accomodation is stunning and would give a 5 star however agree with a lot of the comments I have seen regarding servicing of the rooms / villas, our beds were not made once, I had to call reception twice and ask for our villa to be hoovered - bathrooms and kitchen floors not cleaned once …. I asked 3 times for clean bedding for my 3 yr old which I never got. I walked up to reception and complained in person - they sent someone down to Hoover and that was it? We expected the rooms to be serviced like at the many others resorts we have stayed at - cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen and toilets, making of beds, and serviced. You don’t go on holiday to wash floors etc and why we booked the villas which is meant to be the premium stay and not cheap.

I was on the fence on giving a 3 or 4 star rating.

If you have a car, visit this mosaic gallery/garden and cafe. Well worth the drive only a short distance outside of Taupo at Acacia Bay.

Really it is the history, culture and stories of the community and discovered some unique treasures. Very good hospitality and information. Kid friendly with many creative arts. Bringing nature and Māori had significant role, its origins, culture and perseverance. The Caravan, Stotts Mill, Trout Fishing, Moe , Hidden Kiwi, Waka, Red Oak all had its indigenous story. Kid’s encouragements arts and competition was most liked. The Joan Williamson Rose Garden was equally beautiful and attractive.

Great hot pool complex with plenty for everyone to enjoy. However we were disappointed that on our visit the Tarzan Swing was out of order and half of the pool was closed, but we were not told this when we arrived and were paying

There are a number of interesting things to do around the Huka Falls and it's worth stopping at this attraction for a few minutes. It's a combination of educational facility and retail outlet. Lot's of cute products and interesting information - and a whole wall of bees to inspect.

I just wanted to come on here and write how wonderful my mothers experience with miss Annie Palmer-Bunbury has been. She was the loveliest host and made my mother the finest pieces of pottery. She even made my mother one for free, just out of the kindness of her heart. I'm now in possession of two wonderful custom-coloured mugs.
    Many kind wishes from Denmark!

Fantastic!! We came to Taupo for four days and ended up doing all four escape rooms as a couple. Enjoyed The Hunting Lodge the best. The rooms are well thought out and a great challenge. Staff are amazing :) If in Taupo would highly reccomend a visit here even if you're just a group of two and a cool rainy day activity.

We have done several escape rooms and this is the best so far. Easy booking. Friendly, warm welcome at the locked room. Although it is only a small space apparently we dealt with 47 questions in one hour. There has been some real thought put into making this escape room work.

Would definitely recommend the locked room if you want to do an escape room around Taupo.

I had an excellent massage with Bronny. No complaints, a good experience. Would recommend Bronny (weekends only I believe)

I shouted my wife a 90 minute pamper massage for her birthday. She totally enjoyed the experience. The masseuse had a nice firm style that suited my wife. The oils were delightfully scented and not greasy. Over all 10 out of 10 for value and the benefit she gained.

Great service, staff were friendly and smiley.
The cinema seats were narrower then were used to but cinema was clean and comfy enough.
Popcorn was prepackaged and a little soft & the movie we seen was advertised to be in the lounge (I'm assuming the lounge is a nicer theatre) however must have had a last minute change.
All in all we had a good experience and will return
