Fantastically beautiful area. The most incredible colours and war water wherever you look. We had the perfect weather and were very lucky to enjoy this impressive landscape. Fantastic colourful terrain.

Loved this very informative with a guide. It was amazing learning the history of Māori right down to carving and weaving, the work that goes into it all was unreal! The geysers were cool to look at and lying on the heated rock was something different! We finished off our tour with steamed pudding. Would come and do again.

We loved the fact that people actually live and work in this village.
    Enjoyed the show put on.
Make sure you go and do the boardwalk through the geothermal site down the bottom, well worth the walking involved.

A very humbling walk through the magnificent steaming lakes, bubbling streams and geezers. The climb up to the top of the hill to view the lake is well worth it to take in the scale of the area and rest with an incredible outlook.

The paths are exceptionally well maintained and all the staff knowledgeable on the geology and ecological aspects of maintaining the beauty of the reserve.

I was excited to discover a new (or revamped?) foot baths area, with a pleasant shaded area. It is the nicest thing to be able to sit down and relax and soak your feet. The park also has a selection of mudpool and steam areas, a nice break from the more formal tourism areas. There are also decent enough public toilets.

Excellent pool complex with 6 pools at different temperatures plus personal spas and a cafe. The bush outlook is gorgeous. Great value considering you could stay all day if you wanted! You'll need a car to get out there but the 25min country drive is really nice.

The Lady Knox Geyser is near Rotorua. Being Aussies, we had never seen a geyser -- this one even erupted on time! As it turned out, they add detergent so the geyser can perform for the spectators. We were a little disappointed.

Called in en route home. It’s pretty low key but still nice. You may freak out at the oily look and particulate matter but it’s all good. $30 for a family of five.

This is a site where a natural spring emitting a high output of sulfur smell is surrounded by a masonry wall where you can get close enough to clear out your sinuses from the fumes, if you care for that sort of bonus viewing opportunity. Soaking in these waters is thought to have medicinal value although you cannot do so at this site.

Experience was great. We were behind yesterday schedule and trying to call reception but no one pick phone for hours. Staff was good at on-site.
