Loved this very informative with a guide. It was amazing learning the history of Māori right down to carving and weaving, the work that goes into it all was unreal! The geysers were cool to look at and lying on the heated rock was something different! We finished off our tour with steamed pudding. Would come and do again.

We loved the fact that people actually live and work in this village.
    Enjoyed the show put on.
Make sure you go and do the boardwalk through the geothermal site down the bottom, well worth the walking involved.

This was a veritable cat fest!! Never seen so many cats in one place!!
We have been to several cat cafes around the world and this would rate among the best.
    So many beautiful cats.
Be aware of Mini who likes to chew on your fingers & look for little Luna who is a Laperm/Munchkin cross. She’s adorable.
Even my 17 yr old son loved this experience.

We started the walk from the Lake Front which added a fair distance before we reached the geotherml area. It is a pleasant enough walk along the lake side, round Hatupatu Drive car park at the point, but it does at least a half hour extra. As a result we stopped the walk just in front of the Sudima Lake Rotorua Hotel. I believe the walk continues to the Puarenga Stream.
It would be better to park along Hatupatu Drive and start closer to Sulphur Point. The path is clear and it is an easy level walk. It is an interesting and different geothermal area to explore. Free!

Spent the afternoon learning about the local culture. Walked the grounds, saw a dance demonstration, had a delicious lunch onsite. The history and culture is very interesting and well worth the admission price. Plan to spend 2-4 hours to fully enjoy all that this place has to offer.

A good reminder that everyone thought for Queen/King when the call came. It didn't matter on the colour of your skin.

Went to this venue to watch the Lions play the Maori all Blacks and had a great time. It was like going back to old school rugby grounds. The atmosphere was great, people great especially the Maori contingent and a brilliant evening all round. If you're expecting 5 star facilities then don't go. If you want to stand on the grass in a big hole in the ground and experience a great rugby crowd this is the place.
