The past week I’ve spent 3 days out there rowing & went to the local Omana Winery lookouts and also rowed to the Haruru waterfalls, I must say I’ve had some some great adventures, today I decided to hire a Bike for a change and spent a few hours exploring the Waitangi bike track .it’s a 15-20 minute ride to the track . This is a must ‘do adventure when you are visiting the bay of islands

The boat itself was so well equipped and Captain Steve did everything for us, baiting constantly and sharing his experienced tips on technique and the fish in the bays, it was soooo good. My husband caught big beautiful Snapper which we were hoping for, and I learned how to catch live bait and caught quite a few snapper myself. We did a shared charter, which was also great, getting to meet other anglers from around the world. Crew were very professional and helpful, and a fun morning was had by all.

Ross and Harley were very attentive, friendly, accommodating and professional. We caught so many fishes and big thanks to Ross. It was a great experience. - Henrik_HBBo I Telemark, Norway14 contributionsAfter my first trip with Cap'n Rob, I decided to book a trip with him again when my family came down to NZ to visit. It was just great; Rob is a very interesting person and overall just a great guy. Get him talking, and you'll see what I mean!
So when some other family members came to visit me, I immediately booked another boat trip. My family all loved it, and so did I. He found some small lagoons for us without any other people there, and even fixed us a place to stay the night (we didn't book ahead). We also saw tons of dolphins and, unlike the tourist dolphin boats with tight schedules, we could hang around and take pictures of 'em for as long as we wanted. And all the time Rob taught us heaps of interesting stuff about local lore and history, culture etc.
Since you have to book the whole boat, it's probably best to be 4-7 people so that the price per person is affordable.

We visited the hole in the rock but were unable to sail through it due to rough seas. The highlights for us were the views and excellent sightings of dolphins which swam alongside the boat.
