Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Jamie D1 contributionVisiting Rurakura Berry Farm was an absolute delight! The lush fields of berries were a picturesque sight, and the experience of picking our own berries was truly enjoyable for the whole family. The berries were incredibly fresh and flavorful, making for the perfect snack as we wandered through the farm. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing helpful tips on the best berries to pick and how to properly harvest them. Overall, it was a fantastic outing filled with delicious berries and wonderful memories.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wendy GBox Hill, Australia358 contributionsDespite it not being “pick your own” time of year or day, this place was great fun. With acres of berries growing it was good just to see them and then go to the shop to purchase some (some fresh, some frozen) and indulge in some of the very nicest ice cream with your choice of fresh fruit. However you look at it, with smiling, friendly service and huge serves, the ice cream alone is worth the trip!Written 11 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah J. AnderssonRaglan, New Zealand23 contributionsThe smell is amazing! A beautiful peaceful place, with delicious coffee available. We have been coming here for 3 years in a row now, to pick lavender and blueberries. Quiet areas to sit & enjoy the scenery, easy walking & a little shop full of lavender goodies. There is also edible lavender!Written 14 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
