They picked us up at our hotel in a comfortable van and gave informative narration throughout. They chose great locations for lunch and treats and escaped a traffic jam to show us additional attractions. - teacattenLondon, UK10 contributionsIt was an early start, but we had a lovely drive to Hobbiton (clutching our coffees!). There were just three of us in a spacious car, so it was pretty comfy. Our driver, Mustafa, was a lovely man and made a real effort to make sure we got the full tour guide experience, telling us facts about our surroundings during the drive. He left us at Hobbiton then came back later to collect us from our tour and was totally cool about us having a last minute browse in the gift shop before starting the drive back to Auckland.
As an added bonus, on the way back Mustafa also took us to a beautiful look out point and Hunua Falls, even though neither of these were on the itinerary. Simon was the perfect guide telling us about the history and trivia of NZ and making us feel comfortable being in a new country. Had a great time on the tour with him and I would highly recommend people to choose Auckland and beyond tours for their travel in the near future and always ask for Simon as their tour guide! He always made sure we reached our destination on time. He is an excellent safe driver. I highly recommend him to my friends or relatives.
