Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- MumbaiRidersMumbai, India1,870 contributionsRangitoto Island is a volcanic island in the Hauraki Gulf near Auckland. The 5.5 km wide island is a symmetrical shield volcano cone capped by central scoria cones, reaching a height of 260 m(850 ft).Emerging unexpectedly from the sea some 600 years ago, it is the youngest and largest volcano of the 48 Dormant volcanoes in the Auckland volcanic field.Rangitoto means 'Bloody sky' in Maori language and is thought to refer to the serious injury of a Maori chief during a battle on the island. Roads and tracks allow visitors to walk over lava fields and through lava caves (tubes left behind by the passage of liquid lava). It is densely forested with tree's and on arrival at the jetty realized that this island was excellent for trekking to the peak through forested pathways. It has the largest forest of Pohutukawa trees in the World, a indigenous tree of New Zealand. Rangitoto is approximately a 30 minutes ferry journey from Auckland Port with the ferry having a stop-over at Devonport .Written 22 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PhoebeAuckland Central, New Zealand10 contributionsWent on a Friday afternoon and were helped by Ben who went above and beyond (literally) and even climbed so he could get some photos of me and my friend. He was an absolute super star from the get go with an awesome attitude. When he offered to go the extra mile for our photos we were so impressed. Looking forward to going back!Written 7 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Brett SMelbourne, Australia156 contributionsTook a couple of business associates to blastacars to chill out on a "free night" during a recent trip to Auckland. We didn't want to leave, with the drifting carts adding another cool aspect to cart racing. Great fun and no probs for bigger folks, I'm 6,3 and 140kg and not only got in the cart but kicked butt as machines have plenty of grunt. Will definitely be back.Written 4 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mel D1 contributionBehind Enemy Lines was great fun. We found it challenging, but not too difficult. Great layout, made it easy to work together as a team. The staff member was great to deal with as well. Would highly recommend and we plan to come back for the Titanic room for the next birthday!Written 11 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BurfordsonBletchingley, UK32 contributionsThis is an amazing experience and is the second time over 6 years that I have been with this company.
Sadly this time we did not see any whales, but we came across a huge pod of dolphins (around 200) who were obviously happy to be around the boat and show off, the antics of the dolphins were almost surpassed by the gannets as they dive bombed at huge speed into the water to feed on the fish there.
The crew are both helpful and very informative, the only downside was that the girls did not come across the loudspeakers very clearly and we missed a lot of their very informative talk.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She did not deserve to have our group of guests who were the exact opposite 😂🤦♀️ Alice if you read this, just know that we had a fantastic time! & would come back again with the rest of our family who are now keen to visit after us not being able to shut up about the best experience ever 🥳🔥 10/10 for Alice & 10/10 overall experience.Written 24 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa W24 contributionsJust the BEST experience!!! I was so nervous, it being my first ever jump. But the whole team put me at my ease. I was just over the weight limit but all okay. By the time we went up in the plane I was a tiny bit nervous but mostly excited. My tandem master was amazing. Thank you all

Since seeing the LOTR movies when I was a kid, I dreamed of being able to see Middle Earth in real life...this far exceeded my expectations. Hard to beat spending you're actually birthday in Hobbiton!!! Our tour guide and one of the founder of Red Carpet Tours, was so lovely and knowledgeable. It was so fun to listen to her stories, knowledge, and experience as we traveled through New Zealand.
Even if you're not a LOTR fan, there's still so much to enjoy for everybody. This tour features more than just LOTR sites. NZ is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth and this tour let me experience that.

- Evelyn C1 contributionYou know those scenes in movies where the hero is saving people and everyone has to jump across or down from some scary height, and there’s that one annoying person who freezes up and can’t do it? Well, if you ever want to know if you’re that person, this is the way. I got up there and looked down and thought, Oh heck no. I teared up and said, “What if I can’t do it??” My guide was amazingly calm and reassuring, like Spiderman, and said, “Don’t think like that, all you have to do is let go,” so I did, figuratively and literally. The first few seconds, you truly are falling, and I screamed so much my throat was raw, but then it slows to an almost relaxing pace and you can enjoy the experience - just as it finishes. It is an incredible experience. Then after your legs stop wobbling, you can go up and enjoy the view from the Observation Deck. My 11 year old (who himself had no problem jumping) and I did the Virtual Slide too, and the residual adrenaline from our jumps made the ride more lifelike! One of the most memorable and thrilling experiences of my life.Written 16 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
