Fantastic tour. Kevin and Meiri were excellent guides. Kevin was a wealth of information sprinkled with lots of good humor. They set a great tone for the tour which encouraged a lot of friendly bantering amongst the participants. The places we visited were beautiful. We learned so much. Lunch was simple and delicious. We highly recommend this tour. It's the perfect way to visit the west coast of Auckland.

The boat ride is enjoyable and the boat crew are friendly but If you’re a serious bird photographer this tour is not for you, it departs at 9am but by the time you arrive and the ranger gives his briefing it is 10:30 giving you 4 hours to explore but by then the golden hours of photography are over and it is harsh light (on a sunny day) with really bad heat distortion even on a mild temperature day. The feeding stations on the Island are almost all on the side of the trails where the sun rises so you are shooting directly into the sun. It would be much better to stay overnight on the Island or arrive on a private charter. This tour is really bad for bird photography and mostly intended for casual explorers. If it departed at 7:30am it would be perfect

What a great way to see the west coast near Auckland. The stops were well planned and great to see. We got to see 2 waterfalls! Our guide Adil was helpful and informative. I would do it again and definitely recommend it to anyone.

David is an awesome tour guide! Very knowledgeable about flora, birds, the area. Answered questions about living in New Zealand. Modified tour to our interests.

It’s a long day out to the Coromandel, but it’s absolutely worth it. We had our main stops at Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Beach, and Driving Creek Railway - all unforgettable experiences. Nancy was a great driver and guide, keeping up a flow of information and giving us plenty of good options to choose from when the situation required it. We strongly recommend this trip - it’s a lot of fun and fabulous experiences.

What a surprising and unique tour! The Driving Creek Railway is a quirky bit of fun and the Hot Water Beach will almost burn your feet. Our tour guide Warren helped us to make the best use of our time resulting in a relaxing but eventful day.

A rainy and overcast day prevented us from witnessing a beautiful sunset, but it did not dampen our enjoyment of spending a late afternoon for the New Zealand Twilight Escape with our driver Israel. The drive to the Palm Springs Hot Pool was relaxing even in heavy traffic. The pools were very clean and warm. It is advisable to bring your own towel, soap, and hair dryer for the changing room. We were not interested in the vineyard visit as it did not offer dinner, so our driver was able to get us a reservation at The Riverhead Tavern where we had a delicious meal with an excellent view of the river. We even were able to stop in the town of Helensville for a pic in front of the post office that is used for Brokenwood Mysteries! We certainly appreciate Israel’s flexibility in providing a memorable trip.

Was so lucky to find this small, local, family owned company. Great help in planning private tours. We went to Soellbound Gloworm Caves, instead of Waitamo, a mych better choice. It was a great experience. Got to see a Kiwi up close at the birdhouse too. Angelo, our driver had great local knowledge and was flexible for our stops. Got to see Alex Sands’ Greenstone Gallery in Hamilton as well.
On the coast to coast tour, the highlight was The Winter Garden!
Peter, the owner of Auckland and Beyond was great help in planning, had a great driver, luxury vehicle m, and 2 spectacular tours arranged to our likes and needs. Thank you for 2 great days!

We definitely enjoyed this tour. We got to see so much outside of Auckland and get to enjoy the sights and the culture. It is definitely an all day trip but well worth it. Our guide, Simon, was informative, humorous, and an excellent host.
