The boat I hired, the Boston, which is a 5.7 m bow rider is ideal for the Hauraki Gulf. Comfortable up front, comfortable all round. We hit some chop coming back from try on Kawau, which it handled competently. Be prepared to get a little wet in chop, but hey, that’s boating. She helped me plan my trips from Auckland to Christchurch and back, making excellent recommendations on which routes to take. She helps with car rentals, hotels, ferry, route planning, timing, and even knows some of the best restaurants to eat at all over the country. And Spartacus was so much bigger than I first thought. We had loads of room for more. Having said that, it was a great number and everyone was stoked with the vessel, the crew, the catering, the weather. Absolutely superb!
We will all definitely charter your boats again for future days out. Everyone was pretty keen to make it an annual day out
