- Jeannie M1 contributionThe tour was well organised with plenty of pre tour information and the day went as promised. Both Hobbiton and the Glow Worm Caves were magical and well worth a visit. I appreciated that we took scenic routes and were able to see the countryside. Our tour guide Amethyst was very friendly and went out of her way to entertain and inform us. - Jenny MAnnapolis, MD25 contributionsWe had an amazing trip with an extremely knowledgeable crew. We saw a nursery pod of common dolphins and multiple shorebirds doing cooperative feeding. We also saw a brydes whale that was doing bubble net feeling. We were citizen scientists assisting with the boats research and learned so much about Aucklands ecosystem. There was extensive research material on board and a presentation. We whale watch all over the world and this was one of our favorite trips!! Really, you name it and he had a wealth of information to share. He accommodated for our family of three as we were the only ones on the tour for the day. Lunch that was provided was delicious. Everything ran so smoothly and communication with the company before the tour was exceptional, making sure we were picked up at the most convenient location. The tour was conducted as 2, morning and afternoon, with 2 different tour guides ensuring we had the most knowledgeable guides for the different environments. I would definitely use Bush and Beach tours again the next time I'm in Auckland. The buffet lunch at Hobbiton was delicious. - Climber366856029581 contributionWe had the most amazing day, our guide Huzefa was brilliant, a brilliant balance of knowledge, entertainment and snacks! The group size is kept intentionally below 10 to encourage interaction and we were blessed with a wonderful group, the Mouri village tour was particularly special being surrounded by local and genuine culture, getting to experience families living and cooking in this natural wonder! Plus the spa - just perfect - a thoroughly relaxing experience! - Bhan4 contributionsAbsolutely awesome! The experience was nothing short of magical, especially the breathtaking "milky way of glow worms." It was like stepping into another world, surrounded by these tiny, twinkling lights that felt almost surreal.
What made the experience even more special was being in a very small group, which allowed for a more intimate and personal adventure. It felt exclusive and peaceful, with no crowds to disrupt the tranquility of the environment.
The true highlight, however, was our guide. Their passion for the natural wonders we were exploring was evident in every word they spoke. They were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly attentive to everyone’s needs, making sure we all had the best experience possible.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. - JasperSan Francisco, CA1 contributionThis tour was fantastic! John was a great tour guide who has spent his career in hospitality and wine so was super knowledgable of the wider Auckland area. He will pick you up right from your hotel if you are in the CBD and whisk you away to a fun day full of wine and sights. Piha beach and the Karekare waterfall are a bit off the typical beaten path (you get there by a small windy road through the mountains) but are great spots.
