This day trip was very enjoyable, The scenic drive, seeing the countryside which was lovely. Our driver/guide Matt was excellent, his knowledge of NZ was very informative & he was very helpful with guidance & photos. The boat cruise was awesome, stopping at a beautiful beach for a leisurely lunch then back around the coast. A great day!

Had a great experience with Auckland scenic tours, we were picked up from our hotel on time by mike and he had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable about the area.

Andy was our tour guide for the day but he felt more like a driver because when we arrived at Te Puia we joined a group which was guided by a local resident and we spent quite a lengthy time with him.
Despite this Andy was knowledgeable and talkative throughout the long journey to Rotorua.

It was amazing to see the Geothermal activities and to learn a bit about the Māori culture.
Although it was a long drive the spacious minivan made it a comfortable journey but because of the long drive, we felt like there wasn’t enough time to explore more of the Geothermal grounds and to possibly see more Māori historical buildings etc.
The local guide said that we had 3 hours left to roam the area but we had no time as we had to attend the lunch buffet before it closed and make our way back to central Auckland, which we arrived in the evening.

I suggest to book a overnight accommodation in Rotorua beforehand to make most of this amazing trip.

Simon was early to pick us up at our hotel and over all a total blast to ride with. Lots of great information, but didn't talk the entire time. Very attentive to breaks and drink/food needs. The springs and mud bath are stunning and the spa is extremely relaxing.

Best 3-4hrs you will spend in Auckland. Carson is an incredible guide, and this is perhaps the best way to see this beautiful city. We covered lots of places, Mt Eden, the Domain, Anzac memorial, Harbour sites, Gorgeous beaches and water views.. E Bikes make the hills very easy, and takes 10mins to become proficient.

Will definitely do this tour again with my family.

Definitely recommend this trip with Cheeky Kiwi ! Mani, who is originally from Brazil but has lived in NZ for 20 yrs was super fun and full of stories!

He shared how he was recently on the set of the new Amazon series for the Lord of the Rings franchise, and you could feel his passion for movies, which just made the. trip so much more special.

He also shared loads about NZ fauna and flora and about the natural environment of the country. The experience at Hobbiton is defintely a must-do for any movie fan - its a magical experience.

Afterwards, we switched to another guide and headed on to Rotorua and went to Te Puia to see the geothermal wonders - there was the mud pools, and spraying geysers and also a Kiwi Conservation Centre. We also learn more about the culture and artisan works of Wood Carving, Stone & Bone Carving, and Weaving.

We could not have asked for more! Our guide Andre was fantastic! He is extremely knowledgeable,a very safe driver and has a great sense of humor. It was a long ride back and forth from Auckland, but Andre made the time fly by. If you're LOTR enthusiasts like us, you don't want to miss this tour! Visiting the geothermal valley in Rotorua was a great bonus... absolutely fascinating. Thanks Andre and the rest of the crew at Cheeky Kiwi for a great day!

Grant did a Fabulous job of organizing the day so that everyone got the most of what they wanted to experience. I would highly recommend the geothermal park as it was fascinating and Grant gave us a personal tour. The gondola was a relaxing end to the day in Rotorua. It is a long day but well worth the trip. Exceptional company!

Amazing places to be visited during this tour. The two main attractions are spectacular and David is an extraordinary tour guide. We left Auckland at 7:00 am. The trip is smooth from Auckland to the final destination. The decision on whether to visit hot water beach before or after Cathedral Cove is made according to the low tide which guarantee the possibility to enjoy the hot water experience. In this particular day the weather was fantastic, however there was no low tide at hot water beach. We enjoyed the weather and the beach and then David kindly offered to add an some extra places to visit which were not included in the original schedule. After the magnificent visit to Cathedral cove (30 min approx walking to reach the beach), they took me to Coromandel town with some extraordinary views on the landscape along the way. We arrived back to Auckland around 6:00 pm. This was an amazing experience and the guide, extremely knowledgeable, was also very kind and always caring for safety. Super recommended!

Very friendly personal tour experience. Can’t recommend enough. Graeme pick us up from the Queens Wharf cruise ship location.
Toured a number of the city sights over the 2 hours and Graeme provided a great commentary on the history of Auckland and answered any questions we had.
Graeme has a compendium of photographs that show how Auckland evolved over the time and he is a wealth of information of the area.
The Tuk Tuk is the ideal way to see the site and can go places narrow lanes etc to give you a close up experience of the city.
It is a unique experience and if you want a different way to see Auckland make this your first choice IMHO.

Our tour of Auckland was delightful! Gary, our driver, was knowledgeable about his beautiful city and countryside. I wish we had more time to explore designated tour locals. Overall, we enjoyed our tour. I would recommend this excursion, for anyone with limited time in Auckland, to experience a taste of the city and countryside.

This was a very pleasant afternoon. Only in Auckland for 2 days and this tour provided a great overview of the city from different views within and around the city. Michael gives the insider's perspective and insights you won't likely get on other tours. I especially liked that, although there was a plan and a schedule, Michael was flexible and asked if anybody needed a coffee or bathroom break as we went along the tour. He also did not rush us, which I appreciated, as I like to take pictures and hate being rushed. Michael referred to each of us by name--nice! Highly recommend.

Awesome bike tour from beginning to end with Eddie as our guide. As we were the only 2 people on the tour (weather forecast not great) Eddie was able to personlise it to fit with what we had already seen. Electric bikes are definetely the way to go, we covered 20km with very little effort! Auckland cycleways are a great way to get around the city but we wouldn't have seen so much without Eddie, also enjoyed his entertaining commentary. A great experience with a very knowledgeable guide with good empahasis on safety. Highly recommend, we will be back when you can ride over the Harbour Bridge. Thanks Eddie!

Company is Maori-owned & our guide was also Maori. Our intern- guide was extremely knowledgeable as well. We just completed a series of tours in Australia & New Zealand. We travel a lot & this was by far the BEST tour. Having two guides made it extra enjoyable. Sofia & Nina worked together brilliantly & the entire day flew by with ease. Please be sure to do the museum visit with the performance- you will learn so much & it is beautifully done. Sofia was great at explaining & engaging. She was so warm & wonderful & open about telling her story & history of NZ.
