Our wine tour on Waiheke Island was an exciting event due to the rain throughout the day, but full of warm and friendly people, plus some amazing wines.

After Glenn picked us up at the Ferry Station we got to tour a bit around the island. He shared some facts and showed us some of the popular spots.

Then we headed to our first tasting at Casita Miro, which is a beautiful property that is adorned in mosaics and art, similar to Barcelona. Sophie walked us through our tasting and told us all about the wine and the story of the vineyard. Everything was beyond exceptional and the freshly baked focaccia with the olive oil and paprika oil were a standout!

Then we headed up to Batch winery, which had some gorgeous views (even on a rainy day) and tasted four wines. It was a bit less charming here, feeling a bit more commercial, but still lovely.

Our final stop was a tasting at Mudbrick. The vineyard, restaurant, and overall property were gorgeous and our tasting was made even better by the conversation we shared with the staff throughout. Due to the rain we did have our tasting up at the counter, but I can imagine the warmer weather would allow for more flexibility and views.

Glenn booked us a reservation at Fenice for a late lunch, where we enjoyed some freshly made pasta and wines!

We got dropped back off at the Ferry Station and caught the 4:00 ferry back to Auckland.

This tour was an easy way to explore the island and try some local wines. It was also a bonus that all the vineyards participate in Wine Collective, which allowed us to order wines from different vineyards to be shipped home!

This tour was fantastic! John was a great tour guide who has spent his career in hospitality and wine so was super knowledgable of the wider Auckland area. He will pick you up right from your hotel if you are in the CBD and whisk you away to a fun day full of wine and sights. Piha beach and the Karekare waterfall are a bit off the typical beaten path (you get there by a small windy road through the mountains) but are great spots. All the vineyards we went to were fantastic as well- be ready to bring home a couple bottles!

8 of us did the West Auckland wine tasting tour - highly recommended. Each vineyard provided lots of information on their wines and provided a good selection to taste. The lunch at Soljans was delicious. A shout out to Gary at Westbrook and Matt our driver for lots of fun and laughter.

A great day visiting wineries, sampling new wines, and learning about the history of wine in the region. Susan provided great insights and even some bonus anecdotes about the Rings of Power filming nearby!

It was so unexpected that our guide picked us up in a luxury vehicle with a basket of snacks and water. The attention to detail was much appreciated after the hectic self drive portion of our trip. Our journey included stops at a winery and sculpture garden for lunch and tasting. As we drove to our next stops, the guide kindly made an unplanned detour for another wine tasting and again for fresh oysters. We also visited Matakanas market area and bought chocolates, wonderful beaches, a pottery workshop, and enjoyed a gelato stop.
Besides the personalized itinerary, the highlight was the awesome guide whose friendliness, commentary and knowledge added to our enjoyment. This was a luxury tour that I will not soon forget. Great experience!

We had a lovely day with the personable and professional Curtis as our guide, exploring the Waitekere Ranges before enjoying lunch at a craft brewery and a nice wine tasting in Kumeu Country. Although we weren't able to get to the spectacular gannet colony at Murawai (which we had been fortunate enough to have visited some years ago) because the access road was under repair, Curtis provided a wonderful amended itinerary. He also graciously accommodated our request for a brief stop at Mount Eden on the return journey, putting the icing on the cake!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour (and certainly Curtis!) to anyone.

Amazing time! Definitely worth checking out. Horse back riding was personal and a lovely time. Wine tasting was short but the owner was so interesting to speak with. All in all, very happy to have taken the tour.

This was a wonderful experience. We embarked on a tour with Karthik, who was extremely insightful and shared the most interesting facts about Auckland and New Zealand. We were fortunate to be the only ones on our tour, which made it extra special since we were on our honeymoon from the States and it was our final day in Auckland. We enjoyed a fantastic chocolate tasting, a delightful stroll viewing Katakana art, and an amazing lunch. That was just the beginning before the exceptional wine tasting at Sculptureum, which could have been a tour on its own. To top it off, we were treated to the best gelato in NZ at the end. If you have any doubts about booking this tour, rest assured and make your reservation for a day filled with enjoyment!
