We had plenty of time to get food, drinks, and explore at Hobbiton before the guided tour took place. It was just our family of 4 with another family of 3 and we had a lot of time to explore and enjoy all the sets and learn about the intricacies in movie making. It was very hands on and we all enjoyed it. You can participate as much or as little as you want as crew and he even got to skipper. All of the boats have been used in competition. The crew is really knowledgable and very professional.
