Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

'Crazy Catlady' Tania was a wonderful guide and very attentive, we loved every minute of our trip :) We got to see a lot of water on all forms: Waterfalls, Rivers, Fjords, Lakes... and Rain :)

We caught the coach from Te Anau and our coach driver, Brad, was fabulous; telling us the history of the building of the road through the mountains; stopping on the way to admire the wonderful scenery and beautiful waterfalls. Heavy rain meant epic waterfalls to point out. The overnight cruise on the Milford Mariner was equally amazing with great food, knowledgeable staff, a comfortable clean cabin and again splendid waterfalls. Would highly recommend.

What a wonderful day. Graham was a great guide, full of knowledge about New Zealand and the land we drove through. Plenty of stops along the way. We appreciated being part of a small group. Milford sound was absolutely stunning, We’re so glad we booked this tour.

We loved this whole experience from the boat trip to exploring the caves and the interesting information sessions. Even my 4 year old had an amazing time and was captivated the entire time. The caves were breathtakingly beautiful.

We loved our boat trip - the skipper was amazing and gave great commentry! Not too much happening in the way of waterfalls because there hadn't been much rain but when I forgot to push record after a 'Glacial Facial' the skipper offered to go into the waterfall again! I'm sure none of the big boats would do that. Felt super special and like we did indeed get our fill of waterfall water! Thank you so much.

This tour was led by several marine biologists who clearly knew and respected the local marine life. They provided interesting scientific commentary for any species we encountered, as well as their knowledge of the local area and where the residents might be on a given morning. We were able to see a large pod of dolphins including multiple babies! Highly recommend, but be prepared to get wet.

What an amazing experience onboard the Navigator for a Doubtful Sound overnight cruise. Thanks so much!!The best boat trip I’ve ever taken! Thanks also for giving us glorious sunshine and the atmospheric clouds the next day 😉
The views, the staff, the food and the comfort were all outstanding. We got the luxury of exploring the sound by kayak, and experiencing an amazing sunset over the Tasman.
Shout out to Brock for his amazing insight and commentary.

From the crossing of Lake Manapouri, the bus across Wilmot Pass to the actual cruise - it was an amazing experience.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great and the boat was excellent.
Doubtful Sound is a breathtakingly beautiful, untouched part of the world. And then there were the dolphins - what a marvellous creature, sheer delight.

A wonderful way to see Aukland nature from sea to sea. Local guides Kevin and Kelly were friendly, fun and knowledgeable. The scenery is gorgeous whether it's rainforest or beach.

The evening at the Mitai Māori Village was awesome!! We learned so much about the Maori culture and history. The canoe ceremony and the stories with traditional entertainment in the theatre area was so good! This really enhanced our visit to New Zealand. The food was great with lots to eat.
I think it would be good to mention that the meal does not start until about 90 mins after start time of the evening. Then people understand they won’t be eating as soon as they get there.
