Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A wonderful garden to explore. The gardens weave you through different aspects of Japanese gardens. You will also see some very large Koi in lively colours. Make sure you add this to your Castle visit.

We went for the garden, which we loved. Lots of planting areas and garden rooms to explore. And while the architecture of the new cafe is a bit out of place, the food and service there are excellent. Best scone I've had in many years. Good place for families and picnics.

Take a walk through the trees and look at all the different species. Watch out for the misting water off the trees, Spot the fish in the pond. A nice free walk .

Some of the photos on this site are of Government House in the city, so I have added some photos of "Old Government House" which is located in the Belair National Park. The house and gardens are open the first Sunday of every month and public holidays. Enrty is by a gold coin ($2) donation. The house has been restored and beautifully decorated and furnished in the Victorian era to represent the well to do of the era. We spent about an hour looking through the house and Servants quarters/large kitchen building and surrounding gardens. The plunge pool inside the house was a surprise and is beleived to be the first built in the state. Talk to the volunteer guides as they are a wealth of knowledge about the house and gardens. There were children amongst the groups visiting when we visited and they were fascinated listening to the guide about different items in the kitchen - so will interest all ages.

We went here for the annual MND walk, it is a nice walk along the banks of the Torrens River, you can go on a river cruise or hire paddle boats or hire a bbq boat to enjoy the river and views.

It is a beautiful garden near the Adelaide Oval and within speaking distance of the magnificent St Peter’s Cathedral. People from all walks of life spends a quiet day sitting and reading books while taking advantage of the tranquility and calmness of this garden within the city. It is a good place to unwind after a day in office. It is named the Pennington Garden.

Small enclosed garden at back of Government House. Info plaque explains history of it. The timeless woman sculpture is the centrepiece. Nice garden surrounding this area.

A nice relaxing garden in Palmer Street, North Adelaide, which is surrounded by many of Adelaide's historical buildings.

One of the historical buildings is "Bishops Court, and others. The garden is a five minute from St. Peter's Cathedral, also a five minute walk from "The Women's and Children's Hospital".

The garden is across the road from Colonel William Light's statue ( Colonel Light, designed the layout of the city of Adelaide.
The garden was planted in the style of the Victorian era, it is triangular shaped garden, covering one-point-eight hectares.
The garden was designed by Colonel Light in 1837.

The garden was named after the SA Colonisation Commissioner Colonel Palmer. The gardens indigenous name is "Pangki Pangla".
You can enjoy picnics there, kick a ball around or just sit in the sun and enjoy the garden.
