Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Boyce RKansas City, MO19 contributionsIn all honesty, even with 80+ dives and a Rescue Diver certification, the idea of 8 days on a liveaboard w/ a significant number of unguided buddy dives seemed overwhelming to say the least. But, from the very first moment I stepped on SpoilSport, Marita and her band of aquatic miscreants (intended in the kindest possible manner) made things seem far more adventurous and infinitely less chaotic. Ultimately, having spent seven days on a single liveaboard, I am by no means an authority, but I would still argue the SpoilSport is the gold standard for what is to come. From the logistics, to the food, to even the most finite of details, absolutely everything was considered and addressed. From the insane and infinitely hearty meals, to the staff who were incredibly attentive and kind, every last detail felt dive boat luxurious. In the end, after eight days, I felt even a small bit like family, and, truthfully, what else could you possibly ask for? Marita, Pablo, Fernanda, Ryan, Augustina, Fujiya, Amber, and absolutely everyone else on board have my lifelong love and thankfulness. Loved taking a fast boat instead of spending so much time getting to/from the reef. Highly recommend. I would recommend NQ hire boats to anyone wanting to create their own adventure exploring the islands or hitting the reef. The transaction was seamless and easy and will definitely be using them again. Their professionalism, customer service, and the love and care the crew have for the whales and the ocean is wonderful. The two trips I have done with Argo (July 2022 and 2023) focused purely on snorkelling with Minke whales and allowed for maximum encounters. - 2farSan Francisco, CA35 contributionsWe went on a trip to Kimberley and Indonesia on Coral Geographer with a stop to witness totality during solar eclipse, 2023.
The expeditions were organized and well run. To accommodate the 120 guests, 2 custom built "Xplorers" were used: unexpectedly fast when they needed to be, also excellent for going up rivers and viewing coastal scenery. For closer looks at things, zodiacs were used.
Crew was excellent from expedition staff to wait and cabin staff.
Captain Andy was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable.
Lecturers were interesting and approachable, having lunch and dinner with guests.
Daily expeditions were included with optional extras at additional expense.
Food was excellent. Unlike at least one other reviewer, we had no issues with control of temperature in our cabin (601).
