Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's well worth sending a couple of hours along the South Bank, there's so much to see, mock beaches, art galleries, bridges, city vista, people watching...

By pure good luck our hotel was across the road. What a simply beautiful park. So varied with some great livestock. Birds are always a pleasure but the Eastern Water Dragons are something special. Just a pity we weren't there for the Christmas lights, which were being installed and looked like they would be spectacular. Reading that this must have been a flat railroad yard only 20 plus years ago, so a huge amount of work must have been necessary to develop this special place.

Having walked across Story Bridge we came across Kangaroo Point. It's a lovely leisure area with great views across to the city

What a wonderful place to relax under the big trees by the river. Just hop off the River Cat at New Farm.

Visited the playgrounds at Rocks Riverside Park with my young son. There are several playgrounds/play areas scattered around. The toddler playground is fully fenced and quite shady. The water play areas are super shallow and great for young children. Adults can supervise without getting all wet. Very cool park, very enjoyable. There was one coffee van, which was great. Some more food options would be fantastic 👌🏽

I’d say this is one of the best park in Brisbane. The park itself has tennis courts, tracks, lots of electric bbq, and huge playground for kids of all ages. Children can just spend hours here without getting bored at all.

Very peaceful section of the North Pine river. Lots of families about and plenty of people fishing. Great place to catch some rays on a fantastic Brisbane afternoon.

The Bushland Centre is very good, and the people who work there are very helpful and kind. They have beautiful bushwalks, a free native plants program for local residents and many engaging activities and resources for kids of all ages. My primary school age kids and I went for an easy and very enjoyable bushwalk after some helpful tips from the Centre and a picnic at the tables near the playground. We saw a lot of interesting wildlife and learned of many other trails nearby that we want to walk soon.
We have lived just 5 minutes away for a year and didn’t know about this hidden gem - and there is quite a bit here to explore. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful park with some statues and a heroic story to tell. Great for kids and walks. I would recommend to everyone. Its quite small, but worth the visit.

Tree lined driveway immediately relaxes you as you enter. Nice spots to have a picnic, BBQ, with plenty for the kids, including a small beach along the river. Fun !

In walking distance from the hustle and bustle of Queens Street Mall .. Queens Gardens , is a grassy park ( there wasn’t much in gardens )

I really liked the two stately statues of
    * Queen Victoria Monument
    * Thomas Joseph Ryan monument - Premier of Queensland 1915-1918

Within the park , shaded areas were limited , as were the bench seating .. nevertheless , there was people enjoying the sunshine

Also within Queens Park , is a WW1 Field Canon

This is a very big and shady park next to the river. There are lots of shady spots for a picnic, or to just sit by the river and day dream. Nice playground for kids too.

I held my baby shower picnic here in July. The all ages and inclusive playground is great for everyone. My guests had toddlers and children between 1.5 years and 7 years old and there is are various sections of the playground that cater for all of these ages of children.

FYI you can’t book the undercover picnic tables or BBQs as it’s first come, first serve. There is an outdoor auditorium section that is bookable for weddings and parties etc. Look on the Brisbane City Council website for more information about that.

We went here today for an Army careers and display day which was great for my child who wants to go into the forces when he leaves school.
The playground in the park was great and is good for families with smaller children.
There are plenty pf paths for kids to ride around on and lots of nature around for shade.
There is good parking in the park and plenty on the road outside as well if needed.
