Good bridleways stretch both West and East from the base, and sniff the cleanest air in England [as we were brought up to believe] as well as enjoying the huge skies and wonderful views.
This Monument can bee seen from miles away and close up is Massive, it was built by the tenants of the Sykes estate and you can view the surrounding countryside and open clear sky's.

The visitor centre gives way to fields and fields of lavender and you are able to walk in the sunshine on well laid out footpaths before returning to view the distillery or have a ride on the narrow gauge railway.
