Real Alcazar Seville
#1 of 67 Museums in Province of Seville
The Alcazar just has the right mix - displays, museums, courtyards/rooms, gardens.
Top tip your entrance fee to this palace also covers the Roman archeological excavation under the mushroom structure (definitely) and the costume museum (I think).

The venue also features a (free entry) guitar museum, a fine collection of sixty or more Spanish guitars, mostly 19th century, of which the owners are rightly very proud.
You can visit during the day where a tour can be made of the museum of guitars spanning well over a century.

We stumbled across this small museum, which focuses on the history of the Jewish Sephardic community in Seville and ended up returning the next day for a walking tour and visit to the exhibits in the museum.
I'ts interesting to see this district, Centro Juderia of Seville and also to visit the Jewish Museum, a guide tell you of the life of the Jewish people, the history and of the persecution.

It's well worth visiting the Condesa de Lebrija Palace, and I'd recommend hooking up with a guide provided by the museum.
To see more Italica artifacts go to the Archaeological Museum in Parque Maria Luisa and Casa de Silanos.

Large fine art museums like the Prado can get tiring, so it was nice to see a compact, carefully curated collection that was easy to digest.
We always visit a city's museums when we are travelling, and Sevilla's Fine Arts has been an excellent discovery.

Las Duenas Seville

The patios and gardens are lovely, while the rooms are still furnished and "useable", rather than being museum pieces set back in some previous century.
The rooms give a warm homey feeling, with plenty of interesting objects without museum-style labeling.

Many of the paintings were from museums worldwide.
For this place painted Murillo among its more famous Immaculate, now in the Prado Museum.

The Archaeological Museum is one of my favorite museums in Seville because I have always been interested in archaeology.
Just opposite the Museum of Popular Arts and Customs (also highly recommended and also free) in beautiful Maria Luisa Park, this museum gives a good insight into Seville's past, particularly under the Romans.

Within this small museum, you can find many rifles, shot guns, canons and machine guns used by the Spanish Arm forces in different eras.

This is a very well presented museum with great audio visual and written information which makes you more aware of the atrocities of the day.
The museum takes you underground to explore these and as it does so, you learn about the Inquisition.

My review of the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza touched on this a little, but the museum and guided tour is something I would recommend.

We found this by mistake whilst trying to get on top of the high walkway - both being really interested in history, we found it an incredibly beautiful, fascinating, well laid out and wonderful museum.
The Antiquarium is an archaeological museum located in Sevilla underground and it was found after an excavation in order to build underground parking.

I had to make the choice between visiting here vs. the Roman Necropolis and am glad I chose the museum.
As other reviewers have said, this is a relatively small museum but there is enough of interest to make an enjoyable visit.
