Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Uni S17 contributionsAlain, our guide, enthralled us with the castle's history, regardless of our age. We chose to take the torchlight tour, which transported us to that era.Written 17 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GreenJoeGreenBrussels, Belgium1 contributionFrom this point one can see all the way till France. Its a bit of a climb but 100% worth it, one can take good pictures and see the town underneath. Sometimes one can spot game: deer or wild boar.Written 16 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lilly lBrussels, Belgium118 contributionsA nice and easy walk to do when visiting Bouillon. The surroundings of the monastery are really spectacular, it is overlooking a small valey and the Semois river. You might go there also by car, but it's much more pleasant to do on foot. The monastery itself is not open to visitors(if I am not mistaken, at least it wasn't when we went there, but in any case, probably you are not missing anything it is a sort of 1960's architecture) but there is a small monastic shop (open approximately 10-17, except on Mondays) when you can buy freshly baked bread and cakes made at this very place, together with a big range of products produced by other monasteries of the region...There is a possibility to return to Bouillon through the forest, to make your little walk more varied...or you may continue little further along the river in the direction of the meander and the hill called "Tombeau de géant"... We really enjoyed this short little walk at the sunset, arriving to the monastery shop just in time before it closed and purchasing a delicious apricot cake. The entire walk may be done even with small children or buggies (provided you take the small road and not the forest track).Written 3 February 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stefan GWashington DC, DC1,098 contributionsA small yet rich museum, with artifacts and paintings from primarily medieval times. Visited the museum since we paid for it as part of the City Pass ticket, which gets you into this museum, the castle, and the Archeoscope museum.
Unfortunately, no signs in English, though I believe there were description sheets available in English.
Unless you're really, really into museums, you'll be in and out of this museum in 30-45 minutes.Written 28 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Good place to visit with young kids or just together.Written 22 September 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
