One of the highlights of coming to Krabi Thailand was coming to this viewpoint that is a little out of the way.
You have to take a four-wheel drive up a bumpy dirt road for 100 baht per person to get to it , but is Worth it. This place is simply incredible and we loved it. This is near James Bond Island.

One of the most beutiful beaches in Phuket/Phanga Thailand. Luckily, still not too many tourist, so the beach is peaceful and clean. It is still as pretty as 15 years ago.

We've been here a few times now and every time we leave with a sense of awe and a smile on our faces.
Caves, mountains, temples, bats and monkeys and surprisingly never really busy and overrun

Wat Manee Si Mahathat changes every year so there is always something new to see and the first thing you will notice as you are driving along is the huge black statue that is impossible to miss of a very famous monk called Por Than Klai who died about 45 years ago at the age of 93, he was also a favourite of the King and could predict the future.

This is a great place to explore and there are so many photo opportunities, we have called in here quite a few times over the years and we are usually the only people there.

There is also a small airconditioned museum with a couple of different rooms and you will find life size wax figures of various famous monks plus Chinese and Indian statues. The museum is off to the far right hand side of the complex.

Wat Manee Si Mahathat is very impressive, it is in excellent condition, very well maintained and worth a visit.

The complex is on Highway 4 on the way to Phang Nga about 1.5 hours drive from Khao Lak and 1 hour 15 minutes’ drive from Phuket.

    Wow wow wow
Something like 9 huge buildings with a huge fascinating collection of artefacts, curios, fossils, coins, tools, vehicles, antiques and even a light plane (far too much to list) - all under cover and well displayed in buildings that will amaze - there are enormous catfish that can be fed too
A must do - we will definitely revisit on our next holiday and factor in more time to explore - situated a short drive from Koh Samet Viewpoint
There is also a small gift shop and cool drinks available
    Many thanks

In the shadow of the Sarasin Bridge, this peaceful and relaxing beach is just the place to spend a few hours away from the rush of Phuket’s main beaches. Plenty of parking but suggest you you bring insect spray as the flys get a little annoying

Free visit to a waterfall is always nice. You c an even take a dip in the water too cool off. Have a bite to eat at the neighboring restaurant. You won’t be disappointed.

Lots of parking. Kid friendly. Beautiful view.

A medium sized park made up of inflatables and a high jump cliff. 1 hour drive from the middle of Phuket just off the Island. As of the end of April half of the inflatables were down or broken so limited to what our kids could do. Disappointing as no notice at the front to tell you this. Surprisingly the entrance fee was still the same! The staff are varied. Some interested but most let you get on with it and don't bother with the safety side of things so I was more vigilant and went in all of the slides etc with our kids. Music blasts out of what feels like 2 speakers across a large many Rai area so be warned if you are walking past one of the two!! They WILL NOT let you in with food or drinks (even water), I guess to ensure you buy whilst inside. The food and drink on offer inside is fair stall type Thai offerings at mid to high prices.
Kids and the Mrs!! loved the talking dinosaurs!
A pity overall as this could be a good place if run properly.
