We got our testing pints (a couple each) and our child got his drink as well (no beer...!) You will see a very interesting and also funny video about the history of Killarney brewery.
Learned about the liquor laws of Ireland and that food is in the future plans for the brewery.

They even have mixers on the table so you can make a proper drink if you are so inclined, which we really appreciated.
We didn't get to tour the distillery, but we did try the gin at the food festival and it is wonderful!

Rachel was inspiring and charming; 2 days with her and 3 days with Darina left us with every bit of knowledge we need to produce wholesome, delicious, well presented food.
We did a cooking class here, and thought the instructors were great, the food was exceptionally fresh, and the techniques were all useful.

Despite the workshop being very well organised and really interesting, I must admit the food almost topped it.
There was the spicy Asian style dish where sea spaghetti was used to nut brittle with added sea weed to a sparkling drink with sea weed included.

We spent a super day on the Food Walking Tour of Clonakilty, visiting various local food producers with our guide Kate and sampling their wares.
We visited different artisan food providers, including butchers, bakers, the market traders, and finishing of with an ice cream provider, and a very tiny "bean to bar" chocolate factory.

I'd definitely recommend a visit to Ireland's Highest Pub if you're in the area, it's not hard to find, but take note it opens in the late afternoon and doesn't serve food.
They didn't serve food at the time we visited but indicated that they were working on opening up a kitchen.
